elevated anBZz Obituary
It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Rita Dos Ramos Da Costa. Born on October 14th 1931, Rita passed away peacefully on November 15 2025 surrounded by the love of her family. She is now reunited with her beloved husband, Manuel, to whom she was a devoted wife.
She will be deeply missed by her children Dina, Manny (Maria) and Adriano (Ana). She was a cherished grandmother to Christopher, Danny, Amber, Andrew (Olivia), Austin (Shannon), Shania, Alex (Tahyla), Kaitlyn and a proud great-grandmother to Arlo.
Rita loved being an active part of her community. She was a dedicated partner, helping her husband with his businesses, and she passionately shared her culinary skills by cooking delicious Portuguese food for the Holy Spirit Festivals. Her dedication also extended to the Holy Spirit parades, where she meticulously created and sewed the capes for the Holy Spirit Queens.
She took so much pride in everything she created, whether it was something she baked, cooked or crocheted. She embraced her role as a grandmother and loved her grandkids fiercely.
Rita was always welcoming and loving toward anyone who came to visit. She was often the first person to crack a joke or suggest you add a little banana liqueur to your slice of cake, or sit down to watch a round of WWE. She enjoyed the simple pleasures like gardening, was an avid animal lover, and enjoyed treating herself to manicures and pedicures. She was proud of who she was and what she and her husband built together in this lifetime.
Just like her favourite flower, the Forget-Me-Not, we will continue to cherish all the memories we shared. In the beauty of the sunset, we will feel your spirit in the pink and purple skies and never forget you.
