elevated 3dhaI God called Rita peacefully on May 23rd, 2025 at the age of 73. Her love will remain within the heart of Luigi, her beloved husband of 56 years. Loving mother to both her children Claudia (Frank Padula), and Nadia (Bruno Tigani). May she be the guardian angel of her grandchildren Nicholas, Ashley, Emily, Celeste, and Domenic; may she watch over them. She will be held dear in the hearts of her siblings, nieces, nephews, relatives, and many friends in Canada, Italy, and USA. Donations in memory of Rita may be made to the ALS Society of Canada.

Rita will be greatly missed. Her warm inviting smile, her hospitality and her energy and enthusiasm for life were always inspiring. We will miss those early morning walks and stretching exercises we did together in Florida! And of course those long laughter filled evening games of “Nickel” always accompanied by a variety of plentiful snacks. We were especially impressed by her tenacity and determination to make her vision of the condo renovation a reality! A real testimony\legacy to her talent, spirit and focus!
Luigi, we know that you are suffering having to endure your great loss but rest assured that we and many other Floridian friends are praying for you and are here for you in your time of need.
May God grant you and your family the grace to move beyond your grief and keep you focused on the multitude of happy and wonderful moments and events you shared with Rita.

I’m so sorry for your loss. She always had an amazing smile and loving heart. I remember when your mom every time she walked by my parents house on our old street she used to say hi in a smile and loving heart. RIP Rita
I’m so sorry for your loss. I’ll always remember Rita when she came with your dad to get gas at Costco and when she lived on the old street and she always used to smile, I will never forget her words of wisdom that she always gave me I will truly miss her. My prayers and thoughts are with you today and always my condolences again.
