elevated onMtY It is with profound sadness that the family of Rocco Di Manno announce his peaceful passing on September 25, 2026, at the age of 95. Rocco is now reunited with his beloved wife, Maria Luigia, who predeceased him, his parents Antonio and Maria and his sister Maria Grazia (Giuseppe). He will be lovingly remembered by his children: Benny (Luisa) and John (Maritza); grandchildren: Daniela (Steve), Antonella (Alessandro), Jonathan, Marc, Erica, Michael and Joshua; great grandchildren, Madalyn, Stefano, Michael, Serena, Victoria and Layla, and by his sister Libera (Angelo), as well as numerous relatives and friends.
elevated onMtY Rocco was born in Terelle, Frosinone, in 1931. He immigrated to Canada in 1957, and with determination, hard work and perseverance, he built a life for himself and his family in their new home. He worked in construction but his passion was real estate. He established a business that provided for his family and laid the foundation for future generations. Rocco could often be found in his home office, crunching numbers or making calls. His biggest hobby was playing cards and he was a regular at the local Italian cafe, where he enjoyed many a game and laughs with friends. He had a generous heart, and always shared with those around him. He often had a proverb or saying, to teach a life lesson and always spoke his mind. Rocco marched to the beat of his own drum and had a unique personality. He wasn’t a typical grandfather, but had his own way of showing love. Whether it was showing up for family, sharing a few words or slipping his grandchildren some ice cream money, he showed he cared in ways that were uniquely him. Those little gestures, along with his unmistakable character are memories that will be treasured. His passing marks the end of an era.
elevated onMtY Rest in peace Nonno Rocks. Thank you for the memories, the lessons and the laughs. You’ll be remembered and missed.
elevated onMtY The family would like to extend their heartfelt thanks for the support they have received during this time. In lieu of flowers please donate to Mariann Home at http://www.mariannhome.com/
