“Always in my mind. Forever in my heart.” — Unknown Author
Rocco Trentadue, in his 77th year, died on May 1st, 2022. Peacefully surrounded by his loved ones in Markham Ontario, after a lengthy and courageous battle with many health challenges. Born on August 30, 1945 to Michele and Francesca Trentadue in Modugno, Italy, he immigrated to Canada in 1958 with his brother, Giuseppe (Maria) and his sister, Vincenza (Carlo). A proud and successful entrepreneur, Rocco was a lifelong learner.
He was a very strong, courageous and selfless man who generously looked out for the needs of others. In addition to his many business accomplishments, he was an extremely hard worker, and an avid sports fan, always cheering on his revered Toronto Maple Leafs. In his younger years he was an accomplished soccer player and a founding member of the Scarborough Azzurri Soccer club while proudly serving on the executive board for numerous years. Rocco’s love for music and dancing was infectious, always inviting others to enjoy life and feel good. He will be sorely missed by his beloved wife of 41 years, Luisa, whom together they built a life around everlasting love and family values. His wonderful life will forever be cherished in the lives of his two daughters Frances (Tony) and Teresa (Matthew). He is the admired Nonno of Anthony (Dakota), Michelle, Mattea, and Vienna. His great grandchildren, Mason and Maya will forever think the world of him. Despite his failing health, Rocco remained ever present in the life of his family. Proud of his children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren, he will be forever remembered and sadly missed. Rocco truly lived a life to the fullest through simple pleasures; spending time with his family.

My condolences to all of you. Rick will be truly missed. Thinking of all of you at this time.
It is with sadness that we bid farewell to a life-long friend. The people we love fly into our hearts and settle there, leaving an imprint that is never forgotten. Rick was that kind of person, not easily forgotten. The last few years were not easy, but Rick fought hard, never giving up. How could he, give up, he loved his family too much. In the end he had no choice but to “Surrender All” to Jesus. In the words of Matthew 11:28 “Come to Me, all you who labor and are heavy burdened, and I will give you rest”. Rick, when you reach your final destination and meet up with Ralph please tell him he has to take better care of me. No more falling down the stairs, please.
Luisa, Teresa, Matt and the entire family,
Our sincerest condolences on the loss of your dear husband and father. Please know we are thinking and praying for you all during this very difficult time. May He Rest in Eternal Peace.
“Gone from our sight, but never from our hearts”

I remember the day we met… on board the ship that sailed us from the old to the new. Landing in Halifax. Who knew then that we would once again go our separate ways to Toronto, and meet again, then continue separately… cousins we must be, eventhough our ancestors are old, we’re Modugnese and we’ll meet again in the everlasting life!
