elevated h8KAs Passed away peacefully at 96 years old. Roger leaves his soulmate and wife of 48 years Pauline (nee Guarnaccio). He is also survived by his many adoring nieces and nephews, cousins, many cherished grand nieces and nephews, and wonderful longtime friends. He is predeceased by his parents, Edouard and Isabelle and his twin siblings Marie-Therese and Edouard.
elevated h8KAs Roger lived a very interesting and productive life. He was born in the village of Cosquer, Brittany, France and immigrated to Canada as a young man. He received his education from Fordham University, New York, Lumen Vitae, Belgium, and Wilfred Laurier University.
elevated h8KAs All of his working life was devoted to caring for the needs of others. Most recently he worked at the Catholic Children’s Aid, Dufferin Peel Separate School Board and was a School Trustee for the French School Board.
elevated h8KAs Roger’s zest for life, sense of humour, generous spirit and love of adventure was contagious and an inspiration to all who knew him. He loved his family and was a loyal supporter and proud booster of their many accomplishments. He believed in the inherent goodness of all people. Roger and Pauline shared a love of travel and of Northern Canada.

Pauline and family, Rebecca and I are so very sorry for your loss. It was a pleasure having Roger as our neighbour. He was always gentle with a smile and a kind word. We will miss him.

Roger’s charismatic French accent and beaming smile always made us feel special that he took the time to drop in on Sunday mornings and shared his life journey adventures. We miss those days but will cherish the memories…Joe, Odalia and family.

Dear Pauline & your extended family: Our deepest sympathy and sincerest condolences on the passing of dear Roger. He will be sadly missed. We will always remember him as a kind, caring “Gentle Man” and in biblical terms “a man without guile”. I was so sorry hear about Roger’s death. I understand that life has not been easy for him the last while. Take care of yourself and may you experience the peace of the Lord when you recall all the blessings you both shared with one another.
