elevated smLyO It is with great sadness that the family of Romano Perfetti announces his passing on January 28, 2021, at the age of 77 years. Romano will be forever remembered by his wife of 53 years, Rosa (nee Reale), his loving daughters, Terri-Anne (Paolo) and Tania (Todd), and his beloved grandchildren, Colin, Emily and Luca. He is pre-deceased by his parents, Raniero and Annina, his sister, Maria, his brothers, John, Silvio and Lino, and he is survived by his brothers Gino and Domenico. Romano is pre-deceased by his father-in-law, Francesco, mother-in-law, Teresa, brother-in-law, Rocco, and he will be fondly remembered by his sisters-in-law, Pina, Nanci (Italo Joe), Lori (Antonio), and his brother-in-law Nick. Romano will be missed by his many nieces, nephews, cousins and dear friends.
elevated smLyO From his humble beginnings in the quaint town of Pietracamela, Teramo, nestled in the mountains of Abruzzo, to the bustling city of Toronto, Romano worked his way up from factory employee to proud business owner. His desire to make a better life for his family led to his success in business, and the opportunity to provide a comfortable lifestyle for his wife and daughters.
elevated smLyO Life forever changed when, at the age of 48, Romano suffered a massive heart attack and underwent a life-saving quadruple bypass. Despite the many health challenges and lifestyle changes he faced, Romano was blessed to be able to spend the rest of his life enjoying the simple things – doting on his daughters, laughing with his sons-in-law, spoiling his grandchildren, indulging in many of his wife’s homemade dishes, taking road trips with his family, and working in his garden. For those who had the pleasure of knowing Romano, hold the image of his welcoming smile and infectious laugh in your hearts and minds forever.
elevated smLyO Romano was the patriarch of his family, and his legacy will live on through the fond memories and stories that his family and friends will share for years to come.
elevated smLyO In lieu of flowers, memorial donations can be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation in Romano’s memory.
