   We are deeply heartbroken and sad to hear the passing away of our good friend Romil. Just two weeks ago, we finally got a chance to speak with Romil and Ofelia over the phone, after searching for their whereabouts for a long time. Although he could hardly speak, his voice expressed a deep connection with us. We are forever grateful for his friendship and care. May God give Ofelia and all his love ones, the strength to overcome the grief and sorrow.

   ETERNAL REST GRANT UNTO ROMIL O LORD AND LET PERPETUAL LIGHT SHINE UPON HIM. MAY HE REST IN PEACE.

     I can’t believe Tito Romy passed away. I remember him since the day I came to Canada. My deepest condolences to Ofelia, Tito Romys sister and to his 3 nieces. our prayers are with you all. May He Rest In Peace.

   I couldn’t believe of Romy’s passing. It seemed to be so suddenly. I really do feel so sad. Although we didn’t see each other as often as we did before Romy had become a part of the family. Here’s to Ofelia, Edna & his nieces .. my sincere condolence & deepest sympathy to you all. My prayers to all and MAY ROMY REST IN PEACE!

   We are so sorry to hear about Tito Romy’s passing. We have fond memories and had wonderful times with him. He will always be remembered as kind, generous, a great cook and a wonderful host. Condolences to Tita Ofelia and his entire family. Warmest Regards, Ging (Gianelli), Stephen and Espiritu family. May he rest in peace and love.

   It was such a heartbreak to learn of Romy’s health condition long before he left us this week, as with that of his wife Ofelia. I prayed daily that they might get better in some ways. Now it is even sadder remembering him from years ago when we had a great time playing mahjongg for hours; and him doing the cooking for everyone of such delicious Fillipino dishes as chicken wings, pancit, adobo, lumpia and others.
   We will miss him even though we haven’t been with him for years, knowing we won’t be with him again, but perhaps
   one day we will all be together again…after here.
   Rest in Peace Romy, and thanks for the memory.

   It’s a sad day to know of a dear friend’s passing. Although we haven’t been together for years, knowing we won’t be ever leaves a sense of emptiness. Condolences to his wife Ofelia and his surviving relatives.
   Romy leaves a lot of good memories going back years, back in the family’s early years in Canada: The mahjongg games late into the night, the delicious dinners he cooked for the family, the kids taking to him like he was a real Uncle.
