elevated W3puJ Obituary
God called Rosa Gabrielli (nee Santi), lovingly known as Rosina, peacefully on October 22, 2026, at the age of 96. She is now reunited in heaven with her beloved husband Aldino. Loving mother of Nadia (Joseph), Sandra (late Anthony) and Angelo (Franca). Proud Nonna of Robert, Adam, Laura, Alexandra, Selena and Leanna. Dear sister of Silvana and of the late Aldo, Mario and Germana.

elevated W3puJ Rosa was petite in stature, but her heart was immense with courage, strength, generosity, compassion and love. Rosa was born in Rome, Italy and she immigrated to Toronto in 1955 to begin a new life with Aldino, and worked as a seamstress in the garment industry until her children were born. Rosa loved to read and she always had a book or magazine in her hands; she was always au courant with current events. Tending to her rose garden brought Rosa much joy, as did working on her needlepoint creations. She loved sewing clothes for her children, oftentimes staying up late to finish new outfits for the first day of school. Rosa was a great cook, always spoiling her grandchildren with Italian delicacies. Rosa was wise and ahead of her time; most people would be surprised to know she was a feminist with strong beliefs in equal rights for all. She treated everyone she met with kindness. Rosa will be sadly missed and held dear in the hearts of her extended family and friends.

elevated W3puJ Heartfelt thanks to all of the PSWs, nurses and staff at Sherwood Court LTC, especially Cecilia “Compagnia”, Elizabeth, Auntie Ruth and Donna, who lovingly cared for Rosa for many years.

elevated W3puJ Words cannot fully express the depth of our gratitude for your generous support, kind words and heartfelt prayers during this difficult time. Our sincerest appreciation from the family of Rosa Gabrielli.

elevated W3puJ In lieu of flowers If desired, donations in memory of Rosa can be made to the Alzheimer’s Society.
