Zia Rosaria will truly be missed within our family.
She always made us feel so welcome in her home – whenever we went to visit there was a bowl of Bugles, cookies, and lots and lots of hot coffee.
She kept the memory of her family who had passed before her alive through all of her stories. It’s hard for me to imagine the tremendous hardship she went through immigrating to Canada at such a young age and not being able to speak to her Mom for months at a time. It was the love and support of her sisters, including my Nonna, that she says kept her going during those first years.
Her grandchildren, Vanessa, Joey (and Tim!) were her pride and joy. My brother and I were so lucky to grow up so close with them. You just had to walk through her house and see all of her photos to know that they shared a very special relationship.
Danny, Heather and my parents share a sibling-like relationship. My Mom still tells us the story of travelling to Italy with Danny and him drinking the milk “fresh from the cow”. I’ve never seen my Mom drink a glass of milk in my 31 years – and don’t anticipate that I ever will!!
Zia, I hope in Heaven that you have the best time with your family and friends who have left us before you and that you have the finest dishes with no cracks!
My condolences to the Garsone family. Thank you Zia Rosaria for the love and kindness you always showed me. May you rest in peace.
Love Always
John, Gianluca and Matteo Gioia.
To Joe, Danny, Heather, Joey, Vanessa and Tim;
We are so sorry for the loss of Rosa. It was always an added bonus coming to to your house when Rosa and Joe were there during some family functions. It was so interesting listening to stories from their past in Italy. Rosa loved her family…you were her pride and joy. She will be missed. May she rest in peace!
Our thoughts and prayers are with you all during this very difficult time. Wishing you Peace, Comfort, and Love.
Rest in Peace Zia Rosaria

To Joe, Danny., Heather, Vanessa, Tim and Joey.
We are so very sorry for your profound loss. We always enjoyed conversations with Rosa and Joe and particularly their stories of their past in Italy. We had the pleasure of enjoying many family gatherings at Danny and Heather’s where Rosa had attended. . It was clear she adored her family.
She will be missed. RIP Rosa
To Joe, Danny and family. We are so saddened by your loss. Rosa was a wonderful neighbour, always thinking of others. She was the kindest, most caring person, always with a smile on her face and a warm heart. We enjoyed her meals and homemade cookies she brought over to us several times. We will miss her dearly. May she rest in peace.
