elevated QfnEO It is with great sadness and heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Rufino Camarata. Rufino peacefully passed away on Wednesday, December 21, 2022 at Northridge Long Term Care in Oakville, at the age of 93 years.
elevated QfnEO Beloved husband of Maria. Loving father of Teresa (Alan), Joe (deceased), George (Lilla), Paul (Tania) and David (Kathy). Devoted grandfather of Jason, Christian, Vanessa, Nicholas, Christina and Alyssa.
elevated QfnEO Rufino was born in Ribeira Brava, in Madeira, Portugal. With his wife Maria, they came to Canada in the 1950’s and established their family in Toronto. Rufino proudly built his own Janitorial Services company. He tirelessly worked to provide for his family and give them a better life. Although he worked hard, he enjoyed life. Rufino loved to have family get-togethers, play cards/billiards, listen to music and dance… he was an entertainer and enjoyed spending time with family and friends. Some other passions included traveling, watching sports (soccer, hockey, boxing), classic films and tv shows, and his love for Westerns, especially anything involving John Wayne.
elevated QfnEO But there was nothing he cared more for than his family. He referred to his grandchildren as his “treasure”.
elevated QfnEO His family will always cherish the beautiful memories of his life and his immense sacrifice. They thank you in advance for your condolences and prayers.
