Salvatore “Tutture” Falcone, born on September 14, 1927, in Celico, Cosenza, passed away peacefully on November 22, 2025, at the age of 98, surrounded by his family.
elevated gZ4KS Beloved son of the late Emilia and Vittorio Falcone, and devoted husband of the late Clara Falcone, who predeceased him on January 9, 2013.
elevated gZ4KS He is the cherished father of:
• Piero and Tina, parents of Clara (fiancé Jeff);
• Victor and Christine, parents of John Salvatore (Sadie);
• Adele and Mike, parents of Joseph (fiancé Esra), Matteus (Samantha), Justin, and Maia.
elevated gZ4KS He was predeceased by his brothers Giannino (Adelina), Alfredo (Rosa), and Ettore (Delfina), and is survived by his loving brothers Faustino (Carmelina) and Ernesto (Ida).
elevated gZ4KS Salvatore will also be fondly remembered by his many nieces and nephews, including:
Vittorino (d. 1975) and Rosetta (Giovanni and family);
Emilia (Vito and family);
Mary (Don and family);
Sylvana and family;
Rob;
Nick (Nadia and family);
Mary (Paolo and family);
Frank (Marie Ann and family);
Marc and family;
Walter (Liane and family).
elevated gZ4KS In 1955, Salvatore emigrated from Italy to Canada to build a new life for himself and his family. He worked with pride as an operating engineer and spent 35 years as a dedicated member of the International Union of Operating Engineers, Local 793.
elevated gZ4KS Salvatore faced lymphoma with remarkable strength for seven years. His family extends heartfelt gratitude to Dr Lee Mozessohn and to the compassionate nurses, staff, and volunteers at the Odette Cancer Centre at Sunnybrook Hospital for their exceptional care and support.
elevated gZ4KS Visitation will take place on Thursday, November 27, and the Funeral Mass will follow on Friday, November 28, both at Holy Cross Cemetery.
elevated gZ4KS In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Salvatore’s memory to the Sunnybrook Odette Cancer Centre, in support of blood cancer research and patient care.
elevated gZ4KS Salvatore will be deeply missed and forever cherished by all who loved him.
