It is with heavy hearts and a profound sense of loss we announce the peaceful passing of Salvatore Lombardi on August 6, 2025 at Villa Colombo Vaughan, at the age of 92. He leaves behind a legacy of love, strength, and kindness that will be forever cherished by his family and all who knew him.

elevated UDsp2 Born on April 22, 1933 in Castellone di Boiano, Campobasso, Italy to parents Domenico and Pasqualina. As a very young man he learned to work hard and to take on whatever job was available to support himself. In Italy, he worked as a Farmer and proudly served in the Italian Military post WWII.

elevated UDsp2 He immigrated to Canada in December 1962 for a better life, where he met his wife Cristina. They got married on September 5, 1964 and had their daughter, Anna. Throughout his life in Canada, Salvatore worked in a meat production plant and as a janitor for various stores.

elevated UDsp2 Salvatore loved music, bocce, playing cards, watching hockey, making homemade wine and sausage and tending to his garden.

elevated UDsp2 Despite facing many health issues throughout his life, Salvatore was the pinnacle of strength and determination by never losing his fighting spirit. He taught us all about the importance of family, tenacity and never giving up.

elevated UDsp2 He is now reunited in Heaven with his beloved wife Cristina, his parents Domenico and Pasqualina and siblings Maria (Nicola), Concetta (Alfredo), Luigi (Biagina) and Antonio.

elevated UDsp2 He leaves behind cherished memories with his daughter Anna (Tony) and grandchildren Stefan, Cristina and Julian. He is also survived by his brother Carmine (Agata) and sister in-law Lucia. Salvatore will be sadly missed and held dear in the hearts of all those who knew him, but his legacy of love and kindness will forever remain in their hearts.
