elevated yWZDP Obituary
elevated yWZDP Samir Eli Touma, 73, of Ajax, ON, passed into the presence of his Lord and Saviour on the evening of May 3rd, predeceased by his parents Marcelle and Eli Touma.
elevated yWZDP Samir, (or more commonly known as Sam), was born in Lebanon as the oldest of nine children. His much-loved siblings include Dounia, Saliba, John, Venette, Albert, Yolla, Raymond, and Sabiha.
elevated yWZDP Sam was a loving and devoted husband to Joan Touma, father to Daniel Touma and Marcella Metcalfe, and grandfather to Ronin Metcalfe.
elevated yWZDP To say Sam was hardworking is an understatement. He consistently put his family and loved one’s needs before his. Sam worked in social work for the majority of his career, while actively supporting various churches’ pastoral and worship ministries. Among other things, he was a school bus driver in his retirement years.
elevated yWZDP Sam’s passion’s included playing and listening to classical guitar, landscaping projects, cooking, reading, and his most recent pursuit of learning the Hebrew language. Sam was truly a kid at heart, shown by his sense of humour and enthusiasm to play for hours with his beloved grandson.
elevated yWZDP Most of all, Sam lived a life with Jesus at the center and his most important words of wisdom were to stay close to the Lord and everything will fall into place.
Cousin Sam will forever be dear to my heart. Can’t believe it. Love and prayers to my family.
Georgette

Sam was a great school bus driver who took pride in doing a good job and keeping the children safe. Sam always had a smile on his face and took the time to stop and say “Good Morning” or “Good Night” as he passed through the office each day.
Sam will be missed by all who had the pleasure of knowing him.
Rest in Peace Sam.
Touma family, I’m sorry for your loss. I remember he was a kind man. I pray that he will be remembered well by all. Joan and Marci, I pray you sense to Lord’s nearness as you grieve.
So sorry for your loss. We enjoyed such a beautiful retirement dinner at your place for Sam with Joan hosting. Worked with Sam for over 20 years. Will be sadly missed.

Sam had such a pure heart and ministered to us in his teaching and his music. His legacy will live in the hearts of those whom he has touched. We have wonderful memories of time spent with you and Sam over the years, Joan. Paul immediately said that he wished we all could have
gotten together one more time. We will in heaven! We have such a hope “Which hope we have as an anchor of the soul, both sure and stedfast, and which entereth into that within the veil…” Hebrews 6:19. Our hearts and prayers are with you, Joan and dear family.
Dear Joan and family:
I was sorry to learn of Sam’s passing. While I never had the pleasure of knowing him, I’m sure his kingdom living for the Lord impacted many. His legacy will live on. Peace to you all.
