elevated y5zda Obituary

elevated y5zda It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Saverio Bruno. Born on September 24, 1938 in Belmonte Calabro, Calabria, Italy. Saverio passed peacefully, surrounded by his loving family, on September 24, 2024. He is reunited with his parents Angelo and Maria.

elevated y5zda Saverio was a devoted, loving and caring husband to Rita Bruno his wife of 58 wonderful years. Saverio was a loving father to Maria (Angelo), Graziella (Maurizio) and Angelo (Marisa). He was an adored Grandfather and Nonno to Lucas (Julia), Adam, Sophia, Michael, Andrew, Christopher and Maya. Saverio was a loving brother to his two beautiful sisters Antonietta (Beniamino) and Dora (Rocco). He was also a beloved Uncle and Zio to his many wonderful nieces and nephews so much so that they all called him Zi Zi or Zi Zio. It’s a term that means an extra special Uncle or Zio.

elevated y5zda Saverio came to Canada in 1954 in the hopes of making a better life for himself. Working hard in construction, he eventually opened up his own business and began to excel at everything he put his heart and soul into. Saverio worked very hard but he always made sure to spend quality time with his family in every possible way and enjoy the simple things that brought so much joy to his life.

elevated y5zda Saverio was loved by all and left a lasting impression with all who knew him. He was extremely independent, strong, determined and resolute. He was full of courage and his determination to always pursue his dreams fuelled him. His motto in life was to never ever give up and to always remain positive despite what life threw at you.

elevated y5zda May Saverio now rest in eternal peace. May God bless him and accept him in his eternal presence and grant unto him perpetual light and peace.

elevated y5zda A very special thank you to our loving mother Rita Bruno, who so selflessly cared for and sacrificed herself to ensure our father was always loved, cared for and comfortable throughout the most difficult times.

elevated y5zda In lieu of flowers, donations in Saverio’s memory can be made to the Canadian Cancer Society.
