WOW, it did come as a terrible shock to hear about Savio. I can still picture him talking and laughing in his typical way. Remarkable human being and great friend. Rest in Peace my friend and I along with all my wife and all our Doha friends will treasure the moments we spent together playing, working and having fun. Rest in peace brother. It’s a shame we couldn’t meet these last couple of years but I’ll always cherish the memories at Don Bosco Matunga and later when we moved on to college.

Rest in Peace brother. We first met in the 2nd grade in Don Boscos and those years will never be forgotten. From sharing lunches to playing hockey, to catching postcards that the Italian priest threw down, to taking the big blue bus to school, to Feast day movies, to school retreats, I shall always cherish those memories. After all those years we met again in Canada and the kind Savio I knew had not changed.

Rest in Peace Dearest Britto as that’s what I always called him. You will be missed dearly by us bro. we hardly spoke to each other, but the day we spoke we connected and spoke our hearts out. Milan and family may the lord almighty shower his blessing on you and give you the strength to overcome this great loss in your family. True friends will never leave you. This is because you carry on their legacy and memories in your heart. Britto you will always be in our hearts never to be forgotten.
I got to know Savio in St. Xavier’s college. We played hockey together, we studied (if you can call what we did studying) Geology and all in all had a great couple of years. He was so much fun and always had your back. May God bless his soul and give his family and friends the strength to cope with their grief.

Prayer for unexpected death
Heavenly Father we know and believe that our times are in Your hands, but Lord it’s so often such a shock to us when a dear loved one due to some unforeseen tragedy, which takes the life of someone they loved – long before it would be expected.
Lord, we bring before You today those who are having to go through such a tragic loss and pray that You would be very close to each one that is in mourning today over such a loss – and are perhaps confused or even angry that such a devastating occurrence has overtaken them – without any apparent warning.
You are the God of all comfort Who comforts us in time of need and we pray that for those that are facing such a difficult trial today. Uphold them we pray, and ask that You draw very close to them … raise up we pray, the right people to minister to them and to be a genuine comfort and support at this time of tragedy and grief.
Lord, we don’t understand why our loved ones should suddenly be removed from us through a sudden, unexpected death – but Lord we trust You to soothe away the hurt in time – for shall not the God of all the earth do right…. In Jesus name, we pray,
