In Loving Memory of Our Dear Appa, Sebastian Arokiam
elevated d3oyb It is with deep sorrow and heavy hearts that we share the passing of our beloved Appa, Sebastian Arokiam, on April 6, 2026, in Canada, at the age of 71.
elevated d3oyb He was born on January 25, 1955, in Rangoon, Burma, to his loving parents, AlankaraMary and Arokiam. In his younger days, he moved with his family to Coimbatore, India, where he grew into the man we all knew, strong in character, deeply faithful, and devoted to his family.
elevated d3oyb In the past decade, Appa spent his life in Canada, surrounded by his loving wife, QueenMary, his children, and grandchildren, cherishing every moment with them. Those years were filled with love, laughter, and memories we will hold close forever.
elevated d3oyb Appa was known for his compassion, his humour, and his beautiful childlike spirit that could light up any room. He had a deep love for sports and was an exceptional athlete. During his time at Government College of Technology, Coimbatore, he achieved something truly remarkable, securing first place in athletics for 30 consecutive years, excelling in running, long jump, and shot put.
elevated d3oyb Above all, Appa was a man of deep and unshakable faith. He was extremely religious and faithfully prayed the rosary every single day. His life was guided by prayer, humility, and a quiet trust in God that never wavered. His faith continues to be an inspiration to all of us.
elevated d3oyb He was predeceased by his beloved brother, Maria Soosai, and is survived by his dear sister, Maria.
elevated d3oyb He leaves behind his loving wife, QueenMary; his children, Punitha and Arun; his son-in-law, Randhir, and daughter-in-law, Anusiya; and his precious grandchildren, Rohith, Rachel, Adrian, and Aida, who were the light of his life and brought him endless pride and joy.
elevated d3oyb To us, he was more than a father and husband—he was our strength, our guide, and our comfort. His calm presence, gentle words, and unconditional love will be deeply missed every single day.
elevated d3oyb Even though our hearts are broken, we find peace in knowing that he is no longer suffering and is now resting in the presence of the Lord.
elevated d3oyb “I have fought the good fight, I have finished the race, I have kept the faith.”
— 2 Timothy 4:7
elevated d3oyb Rest in eternal peace, our beloved Appa 🤍
You will live on in our hearts forever.
