It is with a heavy heart that we announce the passing of our beautiful and vibrant mother, Sebastiana Galea, affectionately known to family and friends as “Nella”. Passed away peacefully at home on August 26, 2022 at the age of 78.Beloved wife of Joseph (predeceased 2016) for 50 wonderful years. Daughter of the late Giovanni and Saverina Calvo. Cherished mother of Anthony (Nancy) and Rita (Michael). Nella was a devoted Nonna to Joseph, Anthony & Alex. She is at rest, finally reunited with all of her brothers and sisters: Corrado, Ninetta, Tina and Pippo. Fondly remembered by her brother-in-law Emanuele (the late Antonietta) as well many nieces, nephews and friends especially her niece Franca Di Pietro, who she considered not only like a sister, but also was a best friend. A special thank-you to Tracey at HomeInstead, to Nella’s caregiver Wilma, and the medical care of Dr. Corrado Morana. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Markham Stouffville Hospital.
