elevated CeaKj It is with great sadness and heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Sergio Adrian De La Precilla. Tragically, Sergio passed on Saturday June 7, 2025 at the age of 53 years. He is now reunited with his father Hugo De La Precilla. Beloved father of his only son, Diego. Loving husband of Mariela. Lifelong friend to Lisa, mother of Diego. Adored son of Frances (Richard). Devoted step – father of Vanessa (Jonathan) and Jessica (Justin). Dearest abuelo of Jesse.
elevated CeaKj Sergio was born in Argentina and immigrated to Canada at a young age with his parents, embarking on a new journey filled with hope and opportunity. From early on, he radiated positivity and left a lasting impression on everyone he met. His presence was a source of strength—always dependable, always there when you needed him.
elevated CeaKj Though he had no siblings, Sergio naturally became the big brother figure to many, offering guidance, protection, and unwavering support. He had a deep passion for soccer, motorcycles, and cars—but above all, his heart belonged to Diego.
elevated CeaKj His greatest joy and proudest role was being a father to his son, Diego—his best friend and most cherished blessing. Sergio lived with a selfless spirit, always putting the needs and happiness of others before his own. His legacy is one of love, loyalty, and the quiet strength of someone who made everyone around him feel seen, supported, and deeply loved.
elevated CeaKj Sergio will be sadly missed and fondly remembered by all his extended family and friends.

Sergio was my big brothers friend. Immediately he treated me as an equal even though I was really just a kid when we met. As I bumped into him with age he was always just the kindest guy. Although I haven’t seen him in quite awhile Facebook and mutual friends always kept me informed. Now he’s gone. Suddenly. May you RIP Sergio and know that you made a difference on this world.

Reciban mi más sentido pésame por el fallecimiento de Sergio. Aunque con el tiempo perdimos contacto, siempre lo recordé con mucho cariño. Fue una parte muy especial de mi infancia—uno de esos amigos que dejan huella y nunca se olvidan. Recuerdo su risa, su calidez y la manera en que alegraba el ambiente con su presencia.
Frances, usted siempre fue tan dulce y acogedora con nosotros cuando éramos niños. Guardo esos recuerdos con mucho afecto, y me duele profundamente su pérdida.

I had only met Sergio once, at my daughter Jenna’s wedding. From all I have heard from Jenna was that Sergio was the kindest, sweetest person you could ever hope for in a friend. Everything above written was everything Jenna and her sons thought of him. I am sad that all who loved him are going to feel the void from his passing. Please accept my sincere condolences

Sergio fue mi mejor amigo cuando era niño, siempre estábamos juntos en mi casa o en la de él.
Frances y Hugo me trataron como a su hijo y tengo tantos recuerdos que están inundando mi cabeza en este momento.
Cuando me mudé a Colombia por 10 años, continuamos escribiéndonos cartas.
Cuando decidí regresar a Canadá después de una década, él fue quien me recogió en el aeropuerto y nuestra amistad no perdió el ritmo.
Perdimos el contacto a medida que pasaban los años a medida que transcurría la vida, pero de vez en cuando nos contactábamos mutuamente para asegurarnos de que estábamos bien, seguros y en un buen lugar.
Hablaba con cariño de su familia, estaba orgulloso de su hijo y amaba a su esposa.
Siempre te recordaré y sé que siempre estarás en mi corazón.
A su familia, los tengo en mis oraciones y estoy destrozado por su pérdida. Mi más sentido pésame.

It is with great pain and an unexplainable sense of loss that I write this message. Sergio, was a good soul and one of my best friends during my childhood and teenage years. As time passed we lost contact, but intermittently we would reconnect. When we did connect, there was no awkwardness. We were the same friends as always.
He was a figure of my life, someone I always expected to be there and never did I think I (we) would find ourselves in this place. It is so hard to accept that Sergio is gone.
I would like Diego to know that, Sergio always spoke with great love and pride of his son. Although I have never met Diego, I know Sergio loved him very much. He was also a very loyal son to his father, Hugo and caring son to his mother. He held his family very close. And again, I haven’t met Mariela, but I know he was very happy with his life with her and loved her.
My childhood and teenage years would have not been the same without Sergio. We had some incredible times together and created memories that would last our lives. For that, he will always live in my mind and heart for the rest of my days. Speaking with others who grew up with him, we’re all dealing with a great sense of loss and bewilderment.
I wish God’s healing for Sergio’s family and friends. We are all better off for having him in our lives. May he rest in eternal peace as he deserves. Um grande abraço, Sergio.
