My deepest condolences for your loss. Your dad will be missed but we thank God for welcoming him back to his Divine home.
I enjoyed listening to your dad playing the keyboard in Dom’s apartment. He liked to reminisce about his youth, especially the time he was in the band which performed at weddings and Dodo Club in Curepipe.
I was always impressed that, despite his age, he knew how to browse the internet and was well informed on soccer teams and even tennis/basketball players.
He was always very excited to be still travelling back to Mauritius every year. I have fond memories of our China trip in 2007. He was so proud to have climbed part of the Great Wall and overjoyed to have visited Moyen, the birthplace of his parents.
Rest in peace Chin Kung.
Dear Dominique

Dear Chris and Dom, we present our deepest condolences to you and the family.
I was very fond of your dad, whom I always affectionately addressed as Tonton Gareth. I enjoyed chatting with him with soccer as the regular subject. He was a great fan of the Fire Brigate football team. Though I shall miss his pleasant chats, I’ll treasure the good memories of an honorable gentleman. Rest in peace, Tonton Gareth.
Chris and Dom, we pray for a peaceful repose of your dad and that he is welcomed by our Good Lord to his kingdom in the presence of Jesus, Mary, all the Saints and Angels.🙏
Dear Dominique, my thoughts are with you, your mother and your family at this most difficult time.
Dear Christiane and family, my deepest sympathy to all of you at this very sad time. I felt like I knew your dad from the stories over the years, and I know how well loved he was by your family, and how much he will be missed.
Marie-Claude and I were saddened to learn that George passed away last week. We offer our most sincere condolences to auntie Ah Fong and the Chan Chan Wong family. Our thoughts and prayers are with you at this difficult time.
As mentioned in his obituary, George was a a self-taught and gifted musician. He was one of the original members of the Chinese Middle School (CMS) band, which was founded in the late fifties. He played the alto saxophone. I had the privilege to join the band and played the trumpet alongside George for a few years, before I left Mauritius for my studies. I visited him on several occasions at the Sierra store in Mauritius. The last time we met was at the wedding of our niece Saan a few years ago in Toronto. Gareth will be sadly missed by his friends, relatives and family.
Christiane & Dominique

Dear Chan Chan Wong family,
I would like to express my sincere condolences to all of you. My heart goes out to you and especially Tai Yipo in your time of sorrow.
I always enjoy visiting Yi Chang Kung as he would share stories about his life experiences with Tai Yipo. He would always talk passionately about music with me as that was one passion we shared together. I will always treasure all the moments spent with my Yi Chang Kung and Tai Yipo especially when they would sing together forming the most dynamic duo ever. During every family gathering, this duo would always cheer up the room and everyone would always end up having a good time. Despite being away from Mauritius, I knew that every time I would meet Yi Chang Kung, I would feel at home as I considered him as a grandfather figure. I will always cherish all the beautiful moments spent with my Yi Chang Kung.
He will forever be in my heart.
Marine
My sincere condolences Dominique. Take good care.
