My dear sister, Shirley. What will I do without you in my life? I am so grateful to have had you for a sister all of these years. I will miss you terribly. I am also grateful to be lucky enough to have visited with you and Clive in Jan/Feb. this year. We had lots of memories to talk about. Also lots of hugs. I pray that you are in peace at last. I will love you forever. Evelyn
Dear Evelyn
I’m sorry to hear of the loss of your sister Shirley.
I see the resemblance so strongly, and your similar gorgeous smiles.
It would be nice to be able to attend the service
but I read that people can view it streaming online.
I’ll see if I can do it on BC timeline.
She was not only beautiful but had many talents.
Kind of rare to have the creative artistic aptitude which you both have.
I so appreciate your friendship and always encouraging attitude.
Bless you all during your family’s grieving.
Auntie Ev, I know Mom was very happy for your visit earlier this year. She loved you dearly. You will always be a part of her heart.
I am a friend of Evelyns in the Yukon and wish to send my sympathies at this time to the friends and family at his most difficult of times.
Thank you very much Katherine. Your wishes are much appreciated.
I am deeply saddened and frustrated to be hearing of my grandmothers passing through an online obituary. As the daughter of Shirley’s only son, Walter, this is quite a devastating way for us to find out, over a month after her passing. While we may not have been close over the last couple of years, I treasure my memories with my grandma. I am glad she lived a long life, but is no longer in pain and suffering. She was a very talented lady and will be missed. Thank you for the memories, grandma. Rest in peace.
It was a pleasure to have known Shirley. She was an amazing person. She was my wonder woman. No matter what she was going through, every time I saw her, she always had a smile. I will miss you terribly.
Love
Anna B (assistant to Dr. Eric Monteiro)
Anna, you were one of the best parts of the doctor visits. Mom always liked to see you and Dr. Monteiro.
Aunt Shirley, We were blessed to have had you in our lives. We will always have fond memories of you and Clive visiting us here in NY. What wonderful food and stories we shared. You were a positive force for many. You were blessed with many talents and used them very well. We will all miss you very much. Love you, Dee, David and family
Hi Dee, Mom and Clive always spoke well of you and the family and the love she felt there. She loved visiting you in the U.S.

It was a delight to phone and speak to both she and Clive to here the enthusiasm and joy in they voices.
The last thing Shirley said to me was, she would like to give me a big hug. It did not happen because of COVID. I miss her already. She will always be remembered. REST IN PEACE MY FRIEND.
Diana and Harston, thank you so much for your beautiful memories of my mom. I know she loved you very much. She always told me how much you made her laugh.
Hello Wendy, Thanks for writing such a lovely obituary for your Mom. I am so sorry for your loss. I’m sure you are feeling both relief for her after having gone through so much in the past few years but also deep sadness and grief at the finality of her passing as well. Your mom was such a classy lady and I will always remember her cheerful smile and warm nature. I know my Mom feels the tremendous loss herself and realizes the gravity of being the only one left of her family. Hugs to you as you go through the healing process, savoring the sweet memories of your Mom. Janet (Evelyn’s Daughter) and my husband (Elvis) Langford
Hello Janet & Elvis. Thank you for your kind message. Yes, you’ve pegged everything exactly right. I am glad she is no longer struggling with cancer, but of course, I will miss her terribly. You continue to look after your mom. She is still very active and I loved seeing her when she visited earlier this year.
Shirley, you have been such a huge part of our loves for so many years. We will miss your smile and hugs and especially your gardening tips! Thank you for everything you have done for our family, especially our children. Miss you terribly. Love you, Ian, Chantal, and family xoxo
Chantal, mom loved you very much. Her eyes used to light up if we were driving and she saw you on the road. “Is that Chantal?” she would say. 🙂
Hello Wendy
Wendy that was a wonderful obituary you wrote for your Mom. We have never met, but I worked at Estée Lauder at the same time as your Mom. She was a very gracious lady, friendly to everyone and always greeted you with her wonderful smile. It was a pleasure knowing her. I am so sorry for your loss and I pray God will comfort you at this time .
Hi Sheila, Thank you so much for your kind words. Yes, mom was very gracious and always friendly. I’m glad you were part of her life.
Not God or anyone can change the fact that Walter Goulet was Shirley only son and Morgan Goulet was her only granddaughter. There is much sadness, love and forgiveness in our hearts. Our deepest sympathy to you, Wendy and Clive.
