It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Shirley Marie Struthers (nee Fournier) in Newmarket at the age of 90. She was born in Toronto, Ontario to Laurence and Eveline Fournier.

elevated p0mth Shirley was a devoted wife of 60 years to Ron who on April 19, 1963 was married in Toronto, Ontario.

elevated p0mth Loving mother to Sandra (Brian). Adored grandmother to Leanne and Derek. Predeceased by her sister Jeannine (Frank). Sister-in-law to Bill (Mary), Barb (Reg). Loving aunt to Debbie (Glenn), Laura (Rick), Chris (Brenda), Ed (Nancy), Jim (Laureen), Brian, and great aunt to Hilary.

elevated p0mth A heartfelt thanks to all of the staff at York Region Newmarket Health Centre for their compassion and dedicated care. Shirley’s life was one filled with love for her family, her many friends, and for those whose lives she touched. Her captivating stories created smiles, laughter, tears, and inspiration for her family.  She will be dearly missed and fondly remembered by all.
