elevated T5PDu It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our beloved Silvana Di Benedetto, on Sunday, July 26, 2020, at Margaret Bahen Hospice in Newmarket.
elevated T5PDu Cherished wife and best friend to Nicola (Nick) Di Benedetto for 41 years. Silvana will be greatly missed by her children, David (Daniela) Di Benedetto and Cristina (Luca) Aquino. Adoring grandmother to Alessandra and Isabella and to one beautiful little angel waiting to be born.
elevated T5PDu Silvana’s story is one of love, strength, passion, and perseverance. She was an exemplary role model for her family and everyone around her; an extraordinary teacher that instilled important values and a thirst for knowledge and culture; and a wonder worker for family, friends, and the community – giving others every ounce of her energy.
elevated T5PDu She was a beautiful light in a world that often has a lot of darkness. Silvana’s light will continue to carry on through everyone she touched throughout her life, and especially her grandchildren who she adored more than anything.

My heart goes out to you and your family during this very difficult time. My memories of Silvana are from our Ryerson years, when she would drive Cris and I home from school after she finished a long day at work herself. There would always be a pit stop in between, whether it was Winners (Cristina’s request) or the fresh bagel shop. She was nothing but a gentle, caring and loving woman. It was evident how much she adored her family and would go great lengths to meet all their needs.
Silvana may you RIP and suffer no more. May your memories live on through your dear husband Nick, your two remarkable children David and Cristina, as well as through your beautiful grandchildren, and soon to be grandchild. Wishing you eternal peace in the Kingdom of Heaven as you reunite with family and old friends.
