It was with tremendous sadness that we announce the passing of Slavica Skoko who passed away peacefully Monday, July 5th, 2021 in her 77th year. Predeceased by her husband Mladen. Born in Croatia. A beloved mother to Ante, Ivan and Tomislav. Much loved mother-in-law to Kathleen and Ciera. Cherished Baba to Carina, Anthony, Hannah and Maeve. Loving sister to Vinka Colak, Jago Colak, Luca Skrobo, Drina Zeljko, and Ana Eric and their families. Slavica will be deeply missed by brothers-in-law and sisters- in-law Ivan Skoko, Ilija Skoko, Anica Colak, Mara Stojic, Mira Penava, Rajka Colak and their families. Slavica will be lovingly remembered by her many nieces and nephews. Family and friends in Croatia and Canada will miss her dearly.

My condolences to my cousins and their families. Heaven has gained a one of a kind angel. Strina Slavica will be deeply missed. She had a way of making you feel like you were her world whenever she saw you, her eyes were always lit up, and would ooze love. She loved life even if at times it was difficult, would always be positive. Strina, falit češ nam puno, ali tvoj osmjeh ću se uvijek sjetit kad mislim na te. Hvala za sve što si za nas učinila, za sve tvoj pomoč i ljubav, i za sve što smo naučili od tebe. Imali smo sreče da smo te imali za Strinu. Počivaj u miru Božjem.
Ante, Ivan & Tommy: Our sincere condolences to you and your family. Slavica was an Angel on earth. She loved unconditionally and without judgment. Heaven gained another beautiful angel and I know she’s at peace and happy to be reunited with her husband Mladen and many family members that went ahead of her. May she rest in peace. My hope for you all is that you heal and find peace in knowing there are no tears in heaven and love never dies, so as long as you live she lives in your hearts.
