elevated vpCAv It is with great sadness and heavy hearts that we announce the passing of our dear Socorro Aguiar. Socorro passed away peacefully on Friday, January 29, 2021 at the age of 74 years, at Chartwell Gibson Long Term Care. Beloved husband to Greta. Loving father and favourite dance-partner to Vanessa (Paul Nitsotolis), Emily and Glynis (Shannon Barretto). Adored grandfather to Jasmine, Jaden, Ava and Liam. Son of the late Arsenio and Ida Aguiar, and son-in-law of the late Francisco and Delfina.  Devoted brother to Mabel (Tony), late Robert, late Romeo (Yolanda), Nolasco (Leonita), Cyril (Sylvia). Cherished brother-in-law to Alina and Liberto (Daphne). Loving uncle to many nieces and nephews. Soco will be sadly missed and fondly remembered by all his extended family and friends.  Soco was so proud of his 35-year career at IBM which gave him the opportunity to travel the world.  He enjoyed playing soccer and field hockey and continued to play into his 60’s.  He is fondly remembered for his smile and kindness and generosity to others, his love of dancing, his love of sports, and his pride for his family.  A special thank you to all the staff at Chartwell Gibson for taking such good care of Soco in his final years.  We take comfort in knowing that his suffering is over and may he rest in peace. In lieu of flowers and in loving memory of Soco, donations may be made to the Alzheimers Society of Toronto.
