elevated LCGWZ STEFAN KELENC
elevated LCGWZ November 19, 1936 – June 2, 2021
elevated LCGWZ It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of Stefan Kelenc, who died peacefully on June 2, 2021, at Humber River Hospital, surrounded by his loving family.
elevated LCGWZ Stefan is survived by his loving and devoted wife of 57 years, Ana Kelenc (nee Ternar); his children, Steve Kelenc and his wife Maria and Ana Blank and her husband Richard; and his precious grandchildren, Matthew, Lauren, and Winston.
elevated LCGWZ Stefan was born in Crensovci, Prekmurje, on November 19, 1936, to Ivan and Marija Kelenc. He was the eldest of six siblings. He will be sadly missed by sisters, Slava, Vera, and Marija. Countless nephews, nieces, and cousins. He is predeceased by his parents and brothers Ivan and Jozef.
elevated LCGWZ He arrived in Toronto in1957, where he met his beautiful wife Ana through mutual friends within the Slovenia community. Together they built their life together, settling in Toronto and raising a family. After retiring from Toronto Kitchen Equipment, Stefan devoted his time to his family and precious grandchildren. With his endless amount of patiences, he spent hours with his grandchildren playing their favorite game and training them to be future gardeners. He could be found most days in his garden tending to his vegetables and flowers.
elevated LCGWZ Many thanks to Dr Heineck and to his team of caregivers Cora, Vanessa and Mizzle for their many years of care and support.
elevated LCGWZ The family respectfully requests that in lieu of flowers you consider a donation to Alzheimer’s Society of Canada or a charity of your choice. We plan to celebrate Stefan’s life when we can all get together.

The Golobic Family sends our deepest condolences to the Kelenc Family. We have fond memories of Stric Stef, Teta Ana, Stevie and Ana growing up just down the street on Dynevor Road in Toronto. I am sure he is being welcomed by all of his Slovenian friends in Canada and abroad as they celebrate his life well-lived. Thank you to the Family for having his church service aired on line where we could all pay our respects. The service was lovely. We will be lighting memory candles in Stric Stef’s honour.
