elevated 7zoqd It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of our wonderful mother, Teresa. She passed away peacefully during her sleep. Predeceased by her husband, the love of her life, Senator Peter Bosa. Teresa was born in Boiano, Molise, Italy, and emigrated to Canada in1956 with her mother Concetta (Colaricci) and brother Tony, to be reunited with brothers Carmine, Corrado and Vittorio. Her brother Emilio would join them a few years later.
elevated 7zoqd She is survived by her daughter, Angela (Tom), son Mark (Ramona), grandchildren Tommy, Michael, Daniel, Viola, Serena, Max and Gigi, and family in Ontario, Italy, the United States and Argentina.
elevated 7zoqd Teresa was a generous, loving, fun, strong, and independent minded woman, who loved her family, friends, and community. There was always room at the kitchen table for family and friends to enjoy a plate of pasta, an espresso, and kind words. A favourite saying was to never worry about something that might never happen.
elevated 7zoqd A graduate of St. Michael’s College (U of T), she was proud of her Bachelor of Arts and Masters degrees. She was active all her life in the Italo Canadian community, including the Women of the CIBPA, and she spent many years fundraising for worthy causes.
elevated 7zoqd She is reunited with her husband Peter, mother Concetta, father Alessandro, brothers, sister, family and good friends.
elevated 7zoqd She will be dearly missed.

A great lady. She was a source of strength to my late wife Erminia Tonelli. May Teresa’s memory be for blessing.

My Aunt Teresa was one of a kind. I loved her more than words can say. She was also my Godmother and instrumental in bringing me to our blessed family. I cherished our visits and learned so much from our chats over decades. I was so lucky to have her in my life. I will miss her voice, her beauty and her strength.

Dear cousin Teresa was always a great inspiration to me. She first inspired me to fight to go to university where she was already. I loved talking to her and Peter and enjoyed her knowledge and experiences. She supported me in getting my poetry books distributed and stood by me as a writer. I will miss her and will always remember her with love. Say hello to everyone, Teresa, on the other side especially Vittorio.

Teresa was a long-time friend of my mother, Cecilia Lamenza. Our families vacationed together in Santa Marta, Colombia when we were young, times that I remember with great fondness. My mother used to comment about Teresa’s innate intelligence, curiosity and commitment to the Italian Canadian community in Toronto. She was a force of nature. She will be greatly missed.

Teresa Patullo Bosa was more than my dear friend—she was my godmother and someone who held a very special place in my heart. She truly had a heart of gold.
I first met Teresa when I was just 22 years old, when she asked me to participate in the Moda in Motion fashion show. That was the beginning of a friendship that would span many years, filled with wonderful stories, laughter and beautiful memories.
One memory I will always cherish is the photograph on her wall with the Venetian mask. Teresa told me the story of how she and Peter were dancing when that photograph was taken. They loved to dance, and whenever I think of that picture, I will remember the love and joy they shared.
As the wife of Senator Peter Bosa, Teresa was deeply involved in her community and passionate about the causes she believed in. She was never afraid to stand up for her beliefs, particularly for Toronto’s Italian community. I will always remember her determination during the St. Clair right-of-way fight and the strength with which she defended the community she loved.
But beyond her public life, I will remember Teresa for the woman she was to me—a dear friend, my godmother, and someone with whom I shared so many stories and good times.
I am especially grateful that I was able to spend time with her and share those moments together. Those memories are now even more precious.
Teresa, you touched so many lives, including mine. You will be deeply missed, but you will always be remembered with love.

I remember your mom as one of the friendliest neighbours on the street – always willing to chat and find out how we were doing. On life journey we meet many people, and many of them we never see again. Some, however, leap directly into our hearts and never leave. It is hard to explane, but you know it when you feel it. .
