elevated PGUGL Obituary
It is with great sadness that we announce Teresa’s passing on Wednesday April 12, 2023, at the age of 80 at Amica Peel Retirement Home in Brampton, ON.  After a courageous and lengthy battle with Parkinson’s Disease, she passed peacefully with her family by her side.

elevated PGUGL Teresa is predeceased by her loving husband, Mike, of 58 years, survived by her two daughters and sons-in-law, Lisa and John (Pritchard), Jennifer and Wenddell (Walsh), and her two grandsons, Nathan and Brandon, of whom she cherished more than anything. She will be sadly missed by her beloved sister Franny (Chillman) and brothers-in-law Donald (Chillman) and Frank (Grabarczyk). Teresa will be fondly remembered by many nieces and nephews and by numerous dear lifelong friends. Teresa is predeceased by her loving parents Joseph and Jadwiga (Kudlacz), sister Mary (Grabarczyk), sister-in-law Maureen (Acri) and nephew Michael (Grabarczyk).

elevated PGUGL Born on October 4, 1942, in Toronto, ON, Teresa loved to spend time with her two sisters and proudly worked for the Children’s Aid Society (Toronto), before moving over to the Toronto Catholic School Board, where she ultimately retired from Chaminade Catholic Highschool working in the Attendance Department. Teresa had a wonderful sense of humor and often got a laugh in the creativity used by the students to avoid attending classes.

elevated PGUGL Teresa enjoyed embarking on daily walks, where she was well known throughout the neighborhood for her friendly smile and warm demeanor. She also enjoyed hosting BBQs during the summertime around the family pool, travelling to many wonderful destinations with family and friends, hosting garage sales, cleaning her home and tending to her garden, listening to Frank Sinatra or 1010 Talk Radio, playing card games, and just sitting on the porch with family and friends on a warm summer evening engaging passers-by.

elevated PGUGL Teresa’s proudest role however was as loving grandmother to her two grandsons Nathan and Brandon. She will always be remembered for being completely and utterly devoted to them, finding joy in taking them to and from school, overnight sleep overs, trick or treating at Halloween, building forts, and just cuddling with them to watch movies and read books.

elevated PGUGL Our family would like to extend our heartfelt thanks and appreciation to the staff at Amica Peel Retirement Home for their outpouring of love and support offered to our mother and family, especially during her last few days.
