elevated XKBdY Theresa Rachele Falcioni (nee Vendramin) of Toronto, peacefully passed on August 10th at Sunnybrook Palliative Care. Born in Thorold Ontario, raised in Copper Cliff she moved to Toronto in 1960.
elevated XKBdY Preceded in death by her parents Zelinda and Ernesto Vendramin, her brothers Alfred and Gino, and brother and sister in laws. Theresa is survived by her daughters Paula Cole (Martin), Carol Banwell (Michael), her son Ralph (Laura), sisters Elgida (Jim), Nell and brothers Lino and Edwin(Maryanne). Her grandchildren Alana and Nikki Cole, Rachael, Jackie and Jeffrey Banwell were the pride of her life. Nieces, nephews and cousins had a special place in her heart and she had a loving relationship with her son in laws Martin and Michael.
elevated XKBdY Theresa traveled to over 34 countries, she was a great cook and enjoyed entertaining her friends and family.
elevated XKBdY She retired from the University of Toronto after 31 years of employment where she pioneered the position of Communications Officer.
elevated XKBdY Theresa cherished her lifetime friends Edith and Tony Goodeve.
elevated XKBdY We are grateful, and thank her many wonderful friends who have supported our family in countless ways over the last two years.

My sincere condolences to Paula, Martin, Alana, Nicki, Ralph, Carol, Michael, Rachel, Jeffrey and Jackie. I feel I know each of you through the loving eyes of your mother, mother in law and more rhan anything else as your “Nonni”. Theresa was an inspiring role model for all of us, strong principled real lady and not afraid to speak her mind. I was fortunate to enjoy her friendship for nearly 40 years and and I will miss her very much but the great memories will last for ever. Theresa must be having a great time in heavens talking to the Lord. God bless her and all of you her dearest family. She was so proud of all of you and loved you dearly.

My dearest friend Theresa arrived in Toronto with 3 small children and with so much courage and determination to make a good life for her young family. We met soon after that and were destined to become best friends for life. Both our families are grown now (with 7 adult “children” between us) and we all enjoyed a close relationship during their growing-up years. We shared some difficult times along the way……. many tears,…. but we always remembered the good times and the shared love.
Tony and I will miss you so much.

Dear Carol, Michael and Family: I was so surprised and sorry to hear of Tess’s passing. She was always the ‘Picture of Perfect’! So Lovely, Positive, Vibrant and Caring. I will always cherish the times that Theresa and I rode together to Columbus Centre. It was never long enough.
I admired her greatly and felt that she was a model as to how to live a full and positive life.
Paula, Carol, Ralph and to all the Vendramin family. I was sorry to hear of Theresa (Tess) passing. Although I did not have the opportunity to meet her in person, we certainly have had the chance to speak exchanging travel plans and ideas and Christmas wishes. Tess and Nell were a great help to me filling in the blanks as I compiled the Vendramin family tree.

Dear Paula, Ralph, Carol and Families,
We were so saddened to hear of Aunt Tess’ passing. She was such a big part of our lives, from attending graduations to babysitting to hosting the best dinner parties. For so many people who were new to Toronto, being invited to one of her dinners was the best welcome to the city. We’ll miss her greatly.

It was a privilege to work with Theresa for many years at U of T. She was so very kind to me when I first started to work there. I will always remember Theresa as a vibrant, elegant, caring and funny lady. I last met with her for lunch a few years ago. We had a great time together. She will be missed by many.

My sincere condolences to all the family. Theresa worked with my father for many years at the University. He spoke of her with respect, admiration and such fondness. Theresa made time for my father in his failing health even as she was dealing with her own health struggles. She was a special lady.

I am so sorry to learn of your mother’s passing. We had been keeping touch since my father’s passing. I have tried to call her several times in the past year. I figured something was wrong when I didn’t hear back from her. I wish I had known. My heart is heavy and sad. Please contact me if you can. My love to you, Carol, and Ralph.

Our sympathies to Tess’s extended family. Tess was a wonderful woman, someone who made anyone feel better just by talking with her. She was an inspiration to many and will be missed by all who knew her.

What wonderful photos and memories I have of Theresa, our
small UofT group use to meet at least once a month for dinner
and drinks, as we greeted one another I use to sing her the
Italian song “Thats Amore'” Wow! what laughs we use to have.
When Theresa retired she gave me her hard white hat which I
still have and will keep! Sorry, I did not see more of her.

I enjoyed working with Theresa all those years. Quite a traveller and liked talking about her grandchildren. Theresa was always there to help anyone in the department.
