elevated Qu4Tt Therese “Tessie” Calleja, a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, and friend, peacefully passed away on July 19, 2024, at the age of 70, surrounded by her loving children in Toronto, Canada.

elevated Qu4Tt Born Therese Portelli on January 9, 1954, in Birkirkara, Malta, Therese moved to Toronto with her husband Paul Calleja after their marriage in Malta on August 30, 1970. They built a beautiful life together and shared 50 years of marriage until Paul’s passing on February 16, 2021.

elevated Qu4Tt Therese was a woman of remarkable strength, known for her enormous heart, wonderful sense of humor, and unwavering bravery. Her children, Michelle Calleja and Jason Calleja with his wife Jacqueline, along with her grandchildren Audrey and Anthony, meant the world to her. She embraced her role as “Nanna” with joy and delighted in every moment spent with her family.

elevated Qu4Tt Therese’s vivacious personality and infectious laughter made her a cherished friend to many. She had a passion for games with friends and dancing, bringing laughter and joy wherever she went. Her generous spirit and loyalty endeared her to all who knew her, making her a pillar of love and support in her community.

elevated Qu4Tt Therese leaves behind a legacy of love and kindness that will forever be remembered by her family, including her siblings, extended family members, and countless friends. Her presence in their lives was a gift, and her memory will continue to inspire and uplift those who were fortunate enough to know her.
