Obituary
After a brief illness, Tom passed away peacefully in his sleep at home on January 31, 2023. Brother to Karl (Samantha) and Sonya (Michael). Uncle to Hendrik, Liam, Rylan & Julian. Nephew to John (Karen). Cousin to Lisa (Jim) and their kids. Predeceased by his parents Gisele and Hans. Will be sadly missed by his many friends and his dog, Angel. Known to some as The Godfather and to others as simply Goo.

Tom was passionate about his opinions and quick to have his say. His laugh was great and remembering the sound of it warms my heart. He wouldn’t hesitate to help us when we needed it and he came to us when he needed comforting. We just had that kind of special “family” bond, even though we weren’t really related. We will miss him, but never forget him.
My deepest condolences to Sonya and Karl. I am sending my love across the miles. You are all family to me my childhood is filled with memories of you all. Tom is at peace now no more suffering reunited with his Mom and Dad and all the loves ones gone before him. Praying for strength for each and everyone of you in the days ahead. RIP Tom

Tom my brother and best friend I have known you since Grade 4
I will always remember the good and bad times we went through as kids, growing up with you and your family we where like brothers you me and Karl and Sonya which i always consider my little sister. You where always a great friend and brother with a big heart, I remember what we last talked about last week and was hoping you would get better so you can carry on with your dreams you had. I am still in disbelief that you are gone, and going to miss you very much. All those memories i have of you I will deeply cherish and never forget! All those times we got in trouble which was a lot I will never regret those times. We had so many good times growing up and wish you where still here to continue those good times.

Gisele, Sonya, Karl and Tom, lived four doors down from my childhood home and I hold all the memories I have from that period of my life, very dear. I have such fond memories of Tom from my childhood and always thought it was so cool that Sonya had these two older brothers. Brothers that no one would mess with. I remeber Tom always working away outside. Tom was always busy working or tinkering with something. I remeber him giving me a full rundown on how the pool system worked 😂 In fact I think Karl did too!
Tom and I always had our own little buzz, he would always jokingly tease me and he had this nick name for me… ‘stick’. (I’m very thin 😂) He was that annoying older brother I never had. I have so many funny memories and I’m very grateful for those. I spent many years growing up with them. I’m grateful for those.
Tom will be very missed, and I’m so sorry for your loss. May he rest with your beautiful Mum and in Heaven. Sending you both lots of love and hugs. ❤️🙏🏼
