elevated ToYSx After a battle with coronary disease, Tony passed peacefully at the age of 90, in the presence of his loving children and grandchildren. Beloved husband of the late Tina, caring and devoted father to AnnaMarie (Frank), Bill (Mary), David (Kimberley), Melinda (Alvaro). Proud Nonno to Venessa, Natalie (Natascia), Justin, Christopher, Natasha (Ian), Alessia, Bianca (Kei), Anthony, Samantha, Elliot and TinaSofia and Bisnonno to Lucas, Sage, Annabelle and Thomas. Born in Torre de Passeri, Pescara, Tony immigrated to Toronto from Italy alone at the age of 19 and with his entrepreneurial spirit, work ethic, and tenacity, he built a successful career in tile and construction, and was very well respected by his colleagues, business partners and members of the community. Tony gave back in a multitude of ways through business, fundraisers and charitable contributions and will surely be missed for his passionate views on global affairs, politics and history. Cherished by his large and extended family and life-long friends, he will forever be in our hearts.

The famous words that come to my mind, is my Mom would always say…”That Tony Pica he’s so handsome, he looks like Dean Martin”.
Whenever I would see Tony Pica, I would see a intellectual, caring, no nonsense type of man.
I felt a somewhat (oh oh we our dead Bill) everytime he would walk into Bill’s shop unexpectedly, and would catch Bill and I tinkering with the snowmobiles or washing our cars, he would say in his Abruzzi dialect, here are the two “Umbrella Heads”. He was so much like my Dad.
I will miss his smile, his one-liners, I will miss his everything,
May you rest in peace Tony, and give laughs to all your family and friends in the heavens.

It was a pleasure knowing Tony. We had great conversations about our similar ideologies on religion and shared a few shots of Hennessy.
The first time I went to visit Tony at the hospice for his monthly grooming. He apologized for not having a drink for us to share.
He also talked about Bill being too old for toys.
I will miss our monthly visits and conversations.
