elevated aXzcn Obituary
elevated aXzcn It is with immense heartbreak that we announce the passing of our dear father Trevor Pereira. Trevor passed peacefully on Thursday April 24th, 2025 surrounded by his loving family. Proud father of Matthew (Rachel) and Leanne (John). Beloved son and big brother, Trevor is survived by his mother Glerie, and his brothers Terry (Linda) and Sean.
elevated aXzcn Trevor lead a life rooted in kindness, hard work, deep love and care for his family and friends. Always a helping hand to anyone in need.
elevated aXzcn He will be lovingly remembered for his unwavering strength, integrity, generous spirit, and to those who knew him well, an always analytical mind and seemingly endless depth of logic and wit.
elevated aXzcn Our family extends a heartfelt thanks to the doctors, nurses, and support staff at Sunnybrook Hospital Palliative Care Unit, to whom Trevor (and we) felt loved, supported and cared for during his final weeks.
elevated aXzcn In lieu of flowers, it was Trevor’s wish that donations in his memory be made to the Canadian Cancer Society and/or Head and Neck Cancer Research.
He was a true and dear friend. He had a beautiful heart and a brilliant mind. Trevor’s love of family and loyalty to his friends were gifts to us all.
My deepest condolences on your loss. Trevor was a brilliant person who was always keen to educate others. Warm, friendly and passionate. Truly a gentleman, he will always be remembered.
Our deepest sympathy to the family during this difficult time. You are in our prayers.
From: Barb, Bernadette, Sharon and the rest of the Sue Chung family.
My heartfelt condolences to you all. Wishing you the strength and peace as you navigate through this profound loss.
Keeping you in my thoughts.
Please accept my deepest condolences. Trevor was indeed a man who was kind and witty, he was a supportive leader with a great sense of humour. He will be fondly remembered.
So sorry for your loss. Sending lots of love to you all
Love aunt Shelly.
Trevor was incredibly proud of his family and the love and support they gave him. Everyone stood by him through the toughest times, and he cherished every moment of it. Trevor’s compassion extended beyond his own fight; he was always there to support others going through cancer, offering a kind and knowledgeable ear to those who needed it most.
Over the years, Trevor became more than just a friend —he became a close member of the Armstrong family. His friendship and presence will be sorely missed.
Today we remember Trevor for the strength he showed every day, the kindness he shared, and the love he gave to everyone around him. Though he may no longer be with us physically, his spirit will live on forever in our hearts.
We love our “little buddy”, and we will miss him terribly.
Ken, Trish and Katherine
I am truly saddened to hear this news. I have a great memories of working together – especially his daily mac and cheese lunches that never failed to make us smile. He will be missed.
Trevor was a caring and supportive leader. Trevor kindly provided thoughtful accommodations to me during a difficult time my family faced in late 2018 with a sudden medical diagnosis and death. This act was appreciated not only by me but by my extended family, and we will always fondly remember him.
Please accept my deepest condolences, my thoughts and prayers are with you all during this difficult time.
I had the pleasure of working with Trevor, and he was always so polite, well-spoken, and kind. He treated everyone with respect and always carried himself with such professionalism. Trevor will be deeply missed. It’s heartbreaking to lose someone so young, but his kindness, strength, and the way he cared for others will never be forgotten. My thoughts are with his family during this difficult time.
Trevor was a brilliant and kind human being. So protective of the ones he cared about. So deeply sorry to hear about his passing. I still remembered driving over the Cabot trail with my kids and the sun was setting, he made sure he kept us safe till we were off the mountains- just told that story a week ago. You will be missed my friend.
My deepest condolences to the family. Trevor was a big part of the GO Transit family in Bus Services for years. He was a great leader and easy to talk to. He is fondly remembered and will be missed.
Dedicated, witty and passionate. It was an honour to have worked closely over the years.
My deepest condolences to family and friends.
I am heartbroken by the news, and my thoughts and prayers are with Trevor and the Pereira family. Trevor played such a pivotal role in shaping my early career, and I still carry many of his lessons with me today. He was incredibly thoughtful, kind, and had a great sense of humor. I first discovered sour cream glaze donuts through him during our Timmy runs at Steeprock, and they’ve remained one of my all-time favorites ever since. The world has lost an incredible man, but his spirit will undoubtedly live on.
So sorry to learn about Trevor’s passing. I recall that Trevor had university training in computer science, but took a part-time Bus Driver job at GO Transit after graduation. During his off-duty mid-day hours, he volunteered his expertise to coach Bus Operations staff on computer skills. Ken Armstrong hired him as a member of our planning team, as GO Transit transitioned to more directly-employed Bus Drivers, and Trevor became a valuable contributor as we moved more to computer-assisted scheduling. Trevor was also a great friend, and is fondly remembered. Condolences to his family.
I am deeply saddened to hear about the passing of Trevor Pereira. Please accept my heartfelt condolences during this difficult time. Trevor’s kindness, spirit, and presence touched many lives, and his memory will live on with all who knew him. Wishing strength and peace to his family and friends.
My sincere condolences on Trevor’s passing. I had the pleasure of working with him on many projects over the year at GO Transit/Metrolinx. He was kind, thoughtful, always happy to share his wealth of knowledge and left the best work voice-mails with his signature “nighttime FM-DJ” voice. Sending caring thoughts to Trevor’s family at this sad and difficult time.
So sad to hear this news. Trevor fought many battles on the health front, and a lesser person may have given up, but Trevor kept on fighting and always managed to remain optimistic. He was a kind and caring person who placed others needs before his own. He will be missed.
My heartfelt condolences to the family. May the fond memories of him bring you comfort and peace during this difficult time.
My thoughts and prayers are with you and the whole family right now. I am so deeply sorry for your loss. I hope you may find some peace in the beautiful, happy memories
My deepest condolences to Trevor’s love ones, may you all find peace and comfort in the beautiful memories that he has left with everyone. Sleep in eternal Peace.
Trevor was a prince of a fellow. I periodically crossed paths with him during our shared time at GO, but every single time was positive, good-humoured, productive and affirming. These were not mere work-traits, but were very clear examples of his personality, beliefs and inner core. Brightening every encounter for all who engaged with him, he will be greatly missed. RIP Trevor.
Trevor was a gentleman of integrity who devoted nearly his entire professional career to his beloved GO Transit. He was a brilliant scheduler, rivalled by no other human I knew and possibly better than any software of the time (software of which he naturally challenged and discounted as inferior on a nearly daily basis). If Trevor had the time and capacity to schedule all of GO Transit’s services by hand, he surely would’ve done that and would’ve optimized every possible runcut for maximum resource efficiency down to the last cent. Trevor and I didn’t always see eye-to-eye and we clashed often with opposing professional views in transit planning but at the end of each battle, win or lose, we always maintained the upmost respect for the other and knew that we both had our convictions only because we cared for the best interests of GO Transit and its customers. I hope there’s a transit system in need of TLC in heaven to keep Trevor’s interest throughout eternity. My condolences to the family as you grieve his loss but I hope you’ll be proud of his impactful legacy in Toronto-area transit world for which we are all grateful. Rest in Peace Trevor.
Thank you Trevor for the help you gave me. I’ll remember you forever.
He will be missed by many. He was always a pleasure to be around and a real gentleman. Trevor, rest in peace.
