Passed away peacefully in his 94 year on Friday April 17 at Humber River Hospital, in the arms of his youngest daughter. Predeceased by his beloved wife of 60 years, Noli Carmel Swatman (née Feehily). Beloved Father to Deirdre (Josh Benish) and Carrie (Chris Miller), adored Grandad to James, Lola and Declan, and cherished Uncle to many. Born near Calcutta, India on August 21, 1932, to the late Estelle and Vernon Swatman. Trevor was the youngest of 5 children (predeceased by Evelyn, Audrey, Thelma and Neville). He was a mischievous and precocious child who had two servants to attend to him while his brothers and sisters had only one. This mischievous and plucky streak would continue throughout the years which made for an interesting and full life with many adventures. He emigrated to England from India in 1950. He met Noli at a Catholic mingle in 1956 at Charley Macks in London. In 1959, they were married at St. Mary’s Church in London. Together they emigrated by ship to Canada in 1962 with £200 and an ironing board which still exists today. In Canada, Trevor and Noli would build a life, raising two daughters, celebrating two marriages and the birth of three grandchildren. Trevor lived life on his own terms, unapologetically, and relied on his catholic faith to give him guidance and strength. He was a loyal and strong supporter of his family, exasperating in his continued need for independence into his later years as his memory and health began to fade but his cognitive skills remained remarkable for someone his age. His ardent wish to remain living independently in his home was fulfilled except for his last 2 days. He survived his beloved wife by seven years, and he made the most of those ‘bonus’ years by giving love and support to his daughters and their families. He will be greatly missed by all who knew him as he was the last Swatman, the last parent and the last Uncle.

Dear Swatman family,
I am so saddened to hear of your father’s passing. He was a wonderful, kind, and intelligent person. I always enjoyed talking to him about our families, politics, and life in general. I will miss him greatly, but it brings me peace to know that he is in a good place surrounded by his loved ones.

To Swatman family
I would like to offer my deepest condolences on the passing of Trevor
My father Terence Rozario stayed at his house in April 1965 until he found a job and an apartment. My mother and the rest of the family followed in July.
Trevor and Noli attended many of dad’s parties and dances and good friends from Calcutta.
If my memory serves me correctly,my mother Joan and her sister Pam Burgess were close friends of his before my dad met him.
May rest in peace
Nigel Rozario
My deepest condolences to your families, Deirdre and Carrie. Uncle Trevor loved you both so much and always talked about his grandchildren .. he was very proud of his family! He was the last of the Swatman patriarch and OG to go, he will definitely be missed by all. Much love you both.
Condolences to Deirdre and Carrie and their families. Trevor lived about 11 houses away from us. He was like a second father to me .
We had many conversations over the phone, all about everyday stuff and families. He was so proud of his 2 daughters . In every conversation there was always space to talk about his grandchildren on how tall and strong Declan is and how athletic James and Lola are. Always happy when he was around them. I spoke to Trevor one week before he passed away, not for to long, but I’m so happy that I had a few last words with him before he left. Rest in peace Trevor, you will be missed. Lori, Ed, Anthony , Vanessa, Manny and Viviana.
