It is with mixed emotions that we announce the passing of Trudy Tatangelo on November 16, 2023 at 7:00am at Markham-Stouffville Hospital at the ripe age of 95. She was predeceased by her beloved husband Oclerio in 2009. Loving mother to Rico, and her daughter-in-law Lori. Proud nonna to Marco and Alessio. She will be forever remembered in the community through her volunteer work at the Markham Historical Society, Markham-Stouffville Hospital and her contribution to the Markham Horticultural Society as past president. Her captivating stories created smiles, laughter, tears, and inspiration for her family. She will be dearly missed and fondly remembered by all who knew her.

You took such wonderful care of your Mom these last months. She was so lucky to have you. The only thing I can say is, hold on to the memories. It’s those fond memories that can be a great source of comfort during such a challenging time.

A loss of a Mom is the most difficult loss
As no one in our entire lives can ever love us unconditionally more than Mom
I, too, worked with Trudy at Bell Canada. She was always a bundle of laughs when we worked in the same section & when we would get together for lunches. My condolences to Rico & family, she will be greatly missed by all. Unfortunately, I will be unable to attend the viewing but I will watch the Requiem Mass & say a silent prayer.
Dear Tatangelo family, my sincere condolences. I met Trudy in Cuba in 1998 and we have maintained a telephone friendship ever since, even though it wasn’t easy with the time difference between Canada and Germany.
I will miss her.

I was blessed and honoured to work with Trudy for many years @ Bell. Seeing her name and that beautiful face brings back wonderful memories. Pure joy and of course kindred Italian spirits.
