elevated d2tQu It is with extremely heavy and broken hearts that we announce the peaceful passing of our beautiful sweetheart, Vanessa DeFreitas on Thursday, May 29, 2025 at the Toronto Western Hospital surrounded by her beloved family.
elevated d2tQu Born on May 17, 1991, she was a shining bright light in our lives who will forever be remembered for her contagious laughter, her endless kindness and her beautiful heart.
elevated d2tQu She will be dearly missed by her loving mother, brother, doggies Doby and Button, grandmother, aunts, uncles, beautiful god-daughter, cousins, doting boyfriend and adored friends. She leaves behind an abundance of stories and memories that her family and friends will forever carry with them in their hearts and cherish. Her passing will be deeply felt by many and her life will be joyously remembered and long celebrated by all who were fortunate enough to have shared in it.
elevated d2tQu As expressions of sympathy, the family is accepting flowers or a donation can be made to the Bethell Hospice in Inglewood in memory of her beloved father, Virgilio DeFreitas who will now treasure and protect our beautiful angel.
elevated d2tQu Though her time with us was far too short, her impact will last a lifetime. We will love and miss you forever, our sweet girl. Rest in paradise, until we meet again.

Vanessa has left such a positive impact with all the children she took care of as an amazing ECE and the relationships she created with parents and coworkers . Vanessa, I am lost for words on what to say. We had some good times in high school with everybody and the sleepovers and the birthday parties and hanging out after school..
i’ll miss checking up on you on Facebook and seeing how you were doing and how the boyfriend was and just checking up on you. It’s always good to know that you’re doing OK but now I won’t be able to and you’ll be checking on us for up there rest in peace Vanessa.
