elevated 08LMq Velia will be fondly remembered for her strong will and determination, her sharp wit, and her caring heart. Anyone lucky enough to taste Velia’s cooking would agree that she was the best, and she always made sure that you didn’t leave her home hungry or empty-handed. Velia would speak fondly of her youth in Italy, sharing stories with humour and fondness; her pride and devotion toward her family never wavered and she welcomed children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren of her own. Her appreciation for the beauty of nature and her ability to create beautiful things manifested in her garden, her food, and in crafts and clothing; all handmade with love. We will hear her voice and her beautiful laugh in the wind on the days when we miss her the most.

Robert, Paulina, Larry, Phil and families,
Five years ago I met my new neighbour Velia, soon after, we became friends, she was a true friend. We would often (not often enough) have our conversations over coffee and her delicious pecan tarts. Always a very special twinkle in her eyes and a full smile on her face when she spoke about her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Being a nonna myself, we had lots to talk about. I will miss our conversations, I will miss her vast knowledge, I will miss her kind heart, I will miss the twinkle in her eyes and that beautiful smile on her face.
She was a remarkable and strong woman.
So much loss, in such a short time. I pray that the Legacy of love she left in this world will give all who knew her and loved her, strength and comfort at this difficult time, and always.
Our heartfelt condolences to the Muzzin and Cappello families. We share the sadness of Velia’s passing and will always remember with fondness the times spent together, her distinctive flare for flowers, her calm disposition, her culinary talents and the wisdom of her ways.
Our deepest heartfelt condolences to the Muzzin and Capello families for your loss. May she rest peacefully with her loved one.
You are all in our thoughts 🙏
Our sincerest condolences to
