Victor Farrugia, aged 86, passed away peacefully on March 10th, 2026, in Penetanguishene, Ontario.

elevated wy2xA He was born on August 30th, 1939, in Senglea, Malta, to Carmelo and Maria Farrugia. He was the youngest of a large and loving family. Victor was preceded in death by his siblings Tony, Karmenu, Joseph, Francis, George, Lawrence, Jerry, Laura, Rose, and Jessie, and is survived by his sister Carmen.

elevated wy2xA Victor grew up in Paola, Malta, and later immigrated to Canada, where he built a life centered on family, hard work, and the simple joys of life. He was known for his engaging personality, his love of telling stories, and his warm interactions with the many people he encountered. Victor had a lifelong passion for birds and bird breeding, and also enjoyed woodworking, gardening, and the quiet country living of Georgian Bay. Many will remember him fondly from his time interacting with patrons at the 400 Flea Market, where his humor and friendly conversation made a lasting impression.

elevated wy2xA He was the beloved husband of Carmelina, with whom he shared 63 years of marriage, building a life and family rooted in faith, love, and devotion.

elevated wy2xA Victor is lovingly remembered by his wife Carmelina, his children Louise, Frank (Veronica), and Fr. Pierre, his grandchildren Kathleen (Adam), Joseph (Samantha), and Paul (Taylor), and his great-grandson Benjamin, as well as his sister Carmen, and many nieces, nephews, relatives, and friends.

elevated wy2xA Those who knew Victor will remember him as a most devoted and attentive husband, a humorous and captivating storyteller, a man with a zest for life, and someone with a deep love for birds, nature, and family. He loved the sport of hockey and baseball, and introduced his children to both from an early age. A lifelong fan of the Toronto Maple Leafs and the Toronto Blue Jays, he followed his teams faithfully and enjoyed sharing that enthusiasm with family and friends.

elevated wy2xA Visitation will be held on Friday from 2:00–4:00 PM and 6:00–8:00 PM at:

Visitation will take place upstairs in the Cardinal Carter & Ambrozic Rooms.
