   I will always be very grateful to Victor because he helped our family when we were in need. We didn’t always see eye-to-eye, but he was a kind-hearted man and a talented worker. He will be greatly missed.

   Looking back over the last 30 years, I have many meomories of your dad sharing his life experience with stories, advice and humour.

   Here’s to a good man, the life he lived, and the legacy he leaves behind.

   Ciao rose mi dispiace molto della perdita del papa. Vi facciamo le nostre condoglianze e spero non abbia sofferto ma ora e con Mirella e può stare sereno. Ti posso capire la mia mamma ci manca molto ed il mio papà non si e ancora ripreso. Non esce, non va più con gli amici, non va più a caccia. E sempre a casa. Un forte abbraccio a tutti voi. Un bacio.    Dearest Rose, Richard and Rob,

   Our sincerest condolences for the loss of your dear dad, Victor. He was a long time dear friend to our family and is now reunited with your mom and all our loved ones, including his best friend Alessandro. Those we hold closest to our hearts never truly leave us. They live on in the kindness they have shared and the love they brought into our lives. Though our words can do little, we hope our thoughts and prayers will support you at this most difficult time.

   Sorry to hear of your Fathers/Grandfathers passing. Sorry we couldn’t be there with you today. We will sure miss going to visit him on the farm every Christmas when we come to Ontario to visit our family. Victor always made sure to have a delicious meal ready, and of course told us a few stories and we had a few laughs. He will be sadly missed. Keeping all of you in our thoughts and prayers today and in the days ahead.

   Our Deepest Condolences to you, Rosaleen, Ricky and Robert. From what I got to know about him, your Dad came across as a real fun guy, one of the few last pride hearts of the Friulan Mountains that somehow managed to keep and echo from his beloved Canada, the submerged Partisan past and honour.

   Dear Rose and Family,

   We are so sorry to learn of the loss of your dad and Nonno to Christopher and Jacqueline.

   I remember your dad fondly during our Richmond Hill days. I’ll never forget his love of sharing food, hunting and homemade Grappa. He was such a wonderful storyteller and I can still hear his voice and laughter.

   May you be comforted in the days ahead with the memories he gave you, knowing that he loved you all very much. Our deepest condolences to your families during this time.
