elevated VSapY Obituary

elevated VSapY Victoria Araba Morrison, affectionately known as Sister Araba, was born on July 9, 1951, in Amanful Sikaduasi, Ghana, to the late Mr. Isaiah Morrison and the late Madam Federica Esi Essandoh. She lived a life marked by faith, resilience, and unwavering devotion to family, leaving behind a legacy that will be felt for generations.

elevated VSapY Victoria’s early years in Ghana were shaped by strong values, hard work, and a deep foundation of faith. She began her primary education at Yawsu Road and continued at Howard Memorial Primary School, later attending Cleland Middle School. Even as a young girl, her industrious spirit was evident. She began selling fried plantain and beans during her school years, demonstrating an early determination to support herself and contribute to those around her.

elevated VSapY As she grew, so did her entrepreneurial vision. Victoria went on to sell kenkey and Hausa koko and later established a bookshop where she sold books and stationery. Never afraid to embrace new opportunities, she eventually ventured into the timber and logging industry. She was also widely known for her exceptional cooking, particularly her preparation of bodongo, a baked mixture of plantain, corn dough, groundnuts, and oil, which she prepared and sold with pride. Through these ventures, she poured her heart into providing for and supporting her family.

elevated VSapY Victoria was united in holy matrimony to her beloved husband, Mr. John Yaw Ainoo. Their marriage was a covenant built on faith, sacrifice, and deep commitment. Together, they built a home where love was not merely spoken, but lived daily. Their union was blessed with four children, whom Victoria raised with discipline, prayer, and an unshakable belief in their potential. She never allowed hardship to define what her children could become, choosing instead to imagine and work toward a future of greatness for them.

elevated VSapY In one of the most defining seasons of her life, Victoria chose faith over fear. While recovering from illness and carrying the responsibility of raising three children, she left Ghana to join her husband in Canada, trusting God and stepping boldly into the unknown. It was a journey marked by uncertainty and resilience, guided by her belief that survival was only the beginning and that God had greater plans ahead.

elevated VSapY Wherever Victoria went, she created a sense of belonging. Through cooking, fellowship, church involvement, and service, she built community and extended love beyond her immediate family. Her home became a place of warmth, generosity, and spiritual leadership, reflecting her deep devotion to God and people.

elevated VSapY In her later years, love became legacy. Victoria put her own life on pause to raise her thirteen grandchildren, moving in with her children and dedicating herself fully to their care. For more than twenty-five years, she was present in the moments that mattered most. She supported them every school morning and night, filling lunch bags, braiding hair, washing and buying clothes, and ensuring they were raised with dignity, discipline, and the fear of God. Through sacrifice, structure, and prayer, she shaped their lives and instilled perseverance, excellence, and faith that will endure long after her passing.

elevated VSapY Victoria Araba Morrison will be remembered as a hardworking, resourceful, and loving woman whose life was defined by service, strength, and unwavering faith. She was a devoted wife, a courageous mother, a nurturing grandmother, and a pillar of her family and community. Though she has gone to rest, her legacy lives on in the lives she shaped, the values she instilled, and the love she gave so freely.

elevated VSapY May her soul rest in perfect peace, and may her memory continue to inspire all who were blessed to know her.
