It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our father Vincent Calvino on August 9 2025.
elevated d5cxR Vincent was born in Puglia, Italy on October 10, 1935 and travelled to many countries cutting hair. His passion for cutting hair was unmatched. He worked as a hairdresser in Italy, England, Switzerland and Germany where he won various awards and trophies for styles and cuts. He later opened up his own shop in downtown Toronto where he worked for 40 years servicing his clients. He had a passion for gardening and growing his own figs. He spent many hours in his own greenhouse cultivating and growing fruits and vegetables. He was a follower of Padre Pio.
elevated d5cxR He was a devoted husband to Alba Calvino and a wonderful father to his children Leo Calvino (Stella) and Giovanna Calvino. He was also a loving grandfather to his four grandchildren Vincent Calvino, Jenna Calvino, Sabrina and Alessia Carvalho. He is now reunited with his mother Gianna, his father Leonardo and sister, Anna. Vincent always loved to entertain and help people. He was a kind person and adored by everyone. He will be truly missed. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Alzheimer’s Society.
