Obituary

elevated Yr0Bf It is with great sadness and heavy hearts that we announce the passing of our beloved aunt Vincenzina (Zizi) Stante, in her 91st year, on February 6, 2023.

elevated Yr0Bf Predeceased by her parents Nicola and Giuseppina Stante, and her siblings Antonio Stante and Maria Ardellini (Floyd), she will be lovingly missed by Antonio’s wife Assunta Stante, nieces and nephews Nicholas Stante (Julie), Tina Stante (Joseph), Laura Delios (Tom), Joseph Ardellini, the late Mary Jo Ardellini, great nieces and nephews Dean Stante, Neil Stante (Jen), Sean Stante, Stephanie Delios, Brian Ardellini, Andrew Ardellini, Nicholas Ardellini, Angela Hawke and Josh Hawke and great-great nieces and nephews Evan Stante, Ava Ardellini, Emmi Ardellini, Rocco Ardellini and Danika Ardellini.

elevated Yr0Bf Born in Chieti Italy, she lived with her family in the seaside village of Fossacesia until they immigrated to Toronto in 1950, when she was just nineteen.  Settling into her new life, having learned a new language and making new friends, Zizi embarked on a new career as a seamstress using the skills she learned from her mother.  When she wasn’t busy helping others, Zizi was crocheting and knitting sweaters for her family and friends that would rival any designer.

elevated Yr0Bf Never having married, Zizi lived with her brother Antonio and his wife Assunta and became an integral part of the family and all the generational milestones in-between.  She was an incredibly kind woman, always seeing the positive in all situations with all people, easing their troubles with a bright smile and a warm laugh.  Her grace and loyalty extended to all she met, inspiring her nieces and nephews, encouraging longstanding friendships and creating heartfelt memories.

elevated Yr0Bf While we will miss her immensely there will always be a special place in our hearts for our beloved Zizi.

elevated Yr0Bf The family would like to extend their sincere gratitude to the 3rd floor staff at Mackenzie Health LTC, your kindness meant so much to us all, thank you.

elevated Yr0Bf In lieu of flowers please consider a donation to the Canadian Cancer Society.
