It is with great sadness that we announce the peaceful passing of our loving father and adored Nonno, Vincenzo D’Elia on July 29, 2026, in Southlake Care Village at the age of 92. He is now reunited with his beloved wife Francesca, parents Carlo and Filomena, and his siblings Filippo, Caterina, Luigi and Maria.
elevated GQ2n6 Vincenzo was a dedicated father to Filomena Lauber and her husband Elwin, and proud Nonno of Alexander (Jasmine), Adriana and, who he called his baby, his grand-puppy Myles.
elevated GQ2n6 Vincenzo was born in San Donato di Ninea, Cosenza, Italy. He immigrated to Montreal in 1960 where he married his paesana and were together for 61 years.
A tailor by trade, he showcased his talents in Canada by working at the prominent men’s clothing manufacturer Freedman Co. In 1970, they moved to New Jersey to work in the Garment Industry in New York City, joining extended family. His life’s journey brought him back to Toronto in 2015 to be with his daughter and family. Memories of Vincenzo will be cherished and held dear in the hearts of his nieces, nephews and friends from Italy, Canada and the USA.
