With great sadness in our hearts, Vincenzo (Vince) passed away on February 8, 2024 at the age of 66. Vince was born on August 23, 1957 to the late Anna (Saveriano) and Attilio Della Pia. He is survived by his loving wife and partner of nearly 35 years, Josie, as well as his beloved children Victoria (Neil) and Jon-Paul (Bridget). Dear brother to Angelo (Anna), Annette (Johnny), and Gerry (Janis). Beloved uncle to many nieces and nephews. Great friend and mentor to many.
elevated 34XmH Vince was the President and Founder of Elan Planning and Wealth Management displaying a passionate and thoughtful attitude towards his advisors and clients. He made a difference in many people’s lives through his generosity and dedication. Vince was a diehard Packers, Juventus, Notre Dame, and Toronto Sports team fan. He loved to spend time with his family and friends; travel the world; hit the crap tables; play fantasy football; and smoke ribs on the barbie. Vince had a wealth of stories and knowledge he loved to share with others. He didn’t simply give financial advice, he advised about life. He was able to face adversity through perseverance, never allowing any obstacles to stop him. Our family will not be the same without him, but we know he’s at peace and with us in our hearts every day.
elevated 34XmH In lieu of flowers, donations to one of the listed foundations below would be appreciated by the family as they were meaningful to Vince:
- Diabetes Canada
- Heart and Stroke Foundation
- West Park Foundation
- Durham Deaf Services
- Teen Challenge Canada
- Covenant House
- Girls Inc.
- Red Cross
elevated 34XmH “When I come to the end of my journey
And I travel my last weary mile,
Just forget if you can, that I ever frowned
And remember only the smile.”
elevated 34XmH We will always love you,
Josie, Victoria, Jon-Paul, Neil, and Bridget

I’ve known Vince since 2005, when I started work in the, then, Freedom 55 Financial Pickering office. Vince attended my wedding back in 2008. He was the first person who properly explained a football/soccer offside to me. He was so much more than just someone I worked with and supported at Canada Life. He was a friend and he will be greatly missed. My deepest condolences to Vince’s family.

Vince and I were good friends throughout our career. We attended our first MDRT meeting together. We had such a great time that we would talk about it every time we met up. I loved his infectious laugh.
I wish I could take him up on his last offer as I couldn’t make the invitation work
He was a great friend, advisor and loved to brag about his smart talented kids and devoted wife Josie.
We are truly saddened and at a loss for words…..the world lost a caring and thoughtful man, and heaven gained an angel (too early).
Josie, we will join you in keeping memories of him alive and are grateful for the support of our family over the years. He was one of a kind.

Your courage and perseverance was amazing and we looked up to him for that.

Dear Josie,
Mere words can’t express my sadness at this news. Camille and I express our prayers and love to you and the family at this very difficult time and will continue to pray for you all day by day.
Knowing you and Vince all the way back to BK days in the ’80s was such a joy. Vince was like an elder brother to me in those days. Best man at my wedding. I am so deeply saddened. May God wrap his arms around you and the family and provide his warm embrace of healing grace and love.
Our condolences to the Della Pia family.
I knew Vince as a hardworking advisor with Freedom 55 Financial. I first met Vince through our VIP group that he qualified for on an ongoing basis. This was a sign of his dedication to helping his many clients with their financial services. Vince will be missed tremendously by his family, friends and the many clients that he has helped and served throughout the years.
RIP Vince
My deepest condolences to the family. I am Vince’s cousin who lives in the US for many years. Vince was a kind and very engaging person who was smart, funny and the kind of person you enjoyed being around. Growing up with him was a joy. He was always full of fun whether we were playing hockey, soccer or just talking sports it was memorable. Later in life I only saw him occasionally, but it was always great conversation no matter the subject. His brothers were always a part of the collateral conversations and they always held my attention with their knowledge and experiences. I will deeply miss Vince and the way he expressed his thoughts and feelings. He led a memorable life dedicated to his family. He left an indelible impression on everyone he encountered in life. May he rest in peace.
We are very sorry for your loss. My deepest condolences to you and your family. Thinking of you all during this hard time.
Our Deepest Condolences to the Della Pia Family
I knew Vincenzo for years growing up together he was my 2nd cousin. His dad was my mom’s uncle and my Nonna Alphonsina brother. All the families were always together. We always had great times when we all got together a lot.
Who ever knew Vincenzo would know that he was a great person.
My prayers go out to his family.
R.I.P Vincenzo
Dear Josie: Lisa and I are greatly saddened by this news. Please accept our deepest condolences on your family’s loss.
When I heard this news I could not help but think back to our shared time at BK and Vince’s uplifting smile and happy demeanor (especially when you were in the restaurant). Then when we played baseball together the image of Vince hammering a baseball in the gap and motoring around the bases. Vince was our competitive fire.
I know Vince will be mourned by all that knew him but hopefully some day those awesome Vince images will prevail.
In our household Vince will be missed but not forgotten.
Josie,
I am so sorry for your loss💕
Please know you and your family are in my thoughts and prayers🙏🏻💕🙏🏻
My deepest condolences to Josie, Victoria and Jon-Paul. I’m heartbroken to hear this terrible news. What an amazing guy! Fun to be around and never a dull moment. RIP buddy ❤️

I am deeply saddened by the passing of dear Vince.
Vince was a positive, caring and giving person and always seemed to have a smile on his face. He would share that the challenges he faced made him a stronger person. He was an inspiration and he will be deeply missed.

My Condolence To You And Your Family Cousin Josie. He Was Such A Nice Man.
Vince was my mentor and I was his first advisor on board when Elan Planning & Wealth Management started in 2018.
I am shocked and saddened by his passing.
He was a wonderful human being, very caring and giving. I will miss him and his inspirational talks of life.
My heartfelt condolences to Josie and his children.
May Vince soul rest in eternal peace.
Our Growing Up Years
My Brother Tony, my sister Marisa, and I had very good memorable moments with Vince. Such as playing Monopoly, which Vince was very good at. Anyone of us that landed on his property, money was owed to Vince right away. We would break the bank. No money left. Vince would go to the store and actually buy new monopoly money. He would always end up winning anyway. We had great sleepovers at each other’s homes. Vince, we will always and forever miss you and love you. From Rudy, Tony and Marisa.
You are all in our thoughts and prayers. May God cover you all with his abundance of amazing grace.
Michael and I are very shocked by Vince is passing. We are so sorry for your loss. Vince was very good to us. He will be sorely missed.

I was fortunate to meet Vince through work about 15 years ago. Vince was one of those people that really stood out for his genuine, joyous and thoughtful nature.
My favourite memories of Vince were from a cruise we took together with he and Josie in the Mediterranean. Lots of laughs, some wine and a visit or two to the casino.
He will be missed and my thoughts and prayers go out to the Della Pia family.
I am so heartbroken for you all …
Sending prayers and strength to get through this most difficult time
May Vince rest in peace

I was shocked and saddened to hear of Vince’s passing. I knew him when he first started with London Life while I worked at Quality Underwriting. Our paths crossed again when I joined the Freedom 55 team as an advisor. Vince was kind, approachable, honest, and a very helpful man. I had a great deal of respect for him as an advisor and as a person. He will be greatly missed. I will hold you all in my prayers.
I was shocked & saddened by the sudden demise of my friend Vince whom I knew since 2018 after moving from Toronto East office.
