elevated P6ZFM Obituary
It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Vincenzo (Vince) Macchiusi. He passed peacefully surrounded by family after a long and courageous battle with cancer.
elevated P6ZFM Vince was born in Pescosolido, Frosinone Italy in 1939 to Giuseppe and Elvira (DiCarlo) Macchiusi and came to Canada in 1954. He was a proud Canadian while maintaining the heritage and culture from which he came. It wasn’t long before he became a skilled plumber, a proud member of United Association Local 46 and for many years was the foreman of highrise construction and was well respected by those who worked with him.
elevated P6ZFM He enjoyed the simple things in life. Spending time with family and friends was of utmost importance. He loved cooking and sharing a glass of his homemade wine. He will be fondly remembered for his kindness, generosity and laid back nature. You couldn’t help but enjoy his company.
elevated P6ZFM Vince will be forever missed by his wife Julie (Snow), his daughters Christina (Pino) and Angela (Anthony). He was a proud grandfather to Gabriel, Isabel, Alexander, Matthew and Francesco. He is survived by his sister Liberata, brother Luigi, his nieces, nephews and friends.
elevated P6ZFM He was a devoted husband, the most wonderful dad, grandfather and friend to many. Our lives will never be the same without him but we are truly blessed to have had him in ours. May he finally be at peace.
elevated P6ZFM In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Canadian Cancer Society.
Our deepest condolences on the loss of your husband, father, grandfather.
Vince is a wonderful man and neighbour.
Nigel and Muriel, Doris
My most heartfelt sympathy to you and your family, Angela.
Sending our sincerest condolences for your loss. Your words captured the essence of the man he was, became and forever will be. He was a beautiful soul and was one of the best dad’s ,husband and friend we could’ve ever imaged. We started out as neighbours and soon became family. Something we have always been so thankful and grateful for.
It is with profound sadness to even imagine him not in the garage, music playing, drinking wine and enjoying those simple things. We will miss him so much. Cheers 🍷 Vince. Until we meet again
We are forever here for you and your family. Please don’t ever forget that. We love you.
Dear Anthony and Angela
My deepest condolences to you and the entire family
May he rest in peace.
Sincerely
Jean Amelio
