elevated WzROj Born on November 11, 1922 in Alife, Caserta, Italy. Passed peacefully in Toronto, Ontario on Sunday, June 3, 2018, surrounded by his loving family at the age of 95. Beloved husband of the late Sara. Loving father of Raffaele Sasso and Frank Sasso and his wife Sandra. Adored grandfather of Vincenzo Sasso and Marco Sasso. Dear brother of Francesco Sasso and his wife Tonina, Antonio Sasso and his wife Carmelina, the late Caterina Sasso and her late husband Francesco Isabella the late Innocenza Sasso and her late husband Luigi Sasso and the late Rosalia Sasso and her late husband Francesco Parillo. If desired, memorial donations may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society, the Alzheimer’s Society or to the Canadian Parkinson Foundation.

Raffaele and family. No words can describe the loss of a loving father. Always remember the happy and loving moments you all shared with him, they will live on forever in your hearts. My thoughts and prayers are with you during this difficult time.
Raffaele: I only knew your father by sight – when I accompanied my wife, also a resident of Cummer Lodge, on walks through the third-floor hallways and past his room. His door was invariably open and what I think I saw on his face when I peeked in as I went by, was a man of grit, a gamer, a guy eager to squeeze all he could from life. He clearly had a stout, fighting heart. Given his age, he had a good run, I suppose, and – given what you told me about his life in a brief conversation one day at Cummer Lodge when we were both visiting – deserved every blessed one of his 95 years. I’m sorry for your loss. He was a man.

Ralph, I want to send you my deepest sympathy on the passing of your father. I don’t know if you remember me, but you were such a comfort after the passing of my sister. I was going through old pictures and came across some from the cruise I took with my daughter. I have often thought of you but we lost contact. Hope you’re doing well. Take care of yourself and know that you were such a source of comfort during my dark time.
