elevated mcHUg Passed away after a courageous battle with Alzheimer’s Disease on Friday, March 27, 2020 at the age of 76. Beloved husband of Grace (nee Caldarola) for 51 years. Loving father to Salvatore (Sylvia), Annie (John) and Frank (Bianca). He will be greatly missed by his grandchildren Chiara, Joseph, Christian, Malena and Giuliana. Survived by his mother-in-law Francesca Caldarola, sister Dina Chiaramida, brother Sebastian (Janet), brother-in-law Ross Caldarola (Felina) and sister-in-law Mary Salerno. Predeceased by sister Giovanna Battaglia, Joseph Chiaramida, Filomena and Nick Crocitto and Charlie Salerno. He will be greatly missed by his nieces, nephews and the many friends he cherished.

elevated mcHUg It is with heavy hearts that our family has made the difficult decision to hold a private funeral with our immediate family. This decision was made due to the evolving status of COVID-19. We have chosen to do this in order to minimize the threat of spreading the coronavirus. Ultimately, we recognize that the health and safety of our loved ones comes first. Sending your love and support at this time is very appreciated, and we welcome your messages of condolence. However, we do not want anyone to put their health at risk.

We met you and Grace 43 years ago when you moved onto our street. We became fast and lifelong friends and together we went through all of life’s ups and downs. We are grateful to have had you in our lives and are deeply saddened that we are unable to see you to say goodbye. We will miss you.

Sal – You’ve been an awesome son to your Dad, especially in the last few years when he needed help the most, as well as a great support to your Mother. What a good son.
