elevated h2wmL Obituary

elevated h2wmL It is with heartfelt sadness that we announce the peaceful passing of Viola Coulombe (nee Lanthier) of Scarborough, at her Shepherd Village home on March 3, 2023 in her 92nd year, surrounded by her family. She is survived by and will be forever remembered by her brother, Roger(Joan), her 6 children: Rick (Debbie), Jeanette (Lloyd), Raymond (Jennifer), Paul (Susan), Michael (Sandra), & Robert (Karen); her 15 grandchildren, 12 great grandchildren and Fabricland. Born in Sudbury, Ontario, Viola was predeceased by her parents, Rose Emma and Jean-Baptiste (Wilfrid), her loving husband of 68 years, Marcel, her siblings Harvey, Bernadette, and Eliette. Viola was a genuinely humble and modest woman whose giving nature had no bounds. Her legendary sewing and knitting skills provided decades of warmth and comfort to family, friends, and communities worldwide until her final days. Viola could be regularly seen poolside at her backyard pool and her birthday celebration each summer with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

elevated h2wmL In lieu of flowers, donations to Shepherd Village or the Princess Margaret Hospital Foundation  would be appreciated.

elevated h2wmL Our family would like to express our heartfelt gratitude to our mom’s caregivers from CCAC and Staff Relief Healthcare Services Inc for their personal attentive care over her final days.
