elevated xY91o Obituary
elevated xY91o It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Vita Niro (nee Cappello) on August 30th 2019, while surrounded by her family. Beloved Wife, Mother, Sister, and Daughter, she is survived by her devoted husband Lino, Daughters Theresa Davey (Matthew), Elizabeth, and Catherine (Christopher), Mother Elisa Cappello and her father the late Salvatore Cappello, Siblings Enza Botticchio (Victor), and Filippo Cappello, brother-in-law Nick Niro (Gloria) and many nieces and nephews.
elevated xY91o Only a few months short of her 65th birthday, Vita has been taken much too soon from our lives but she will never be forgotten. She bravely fought an incurable disease, beating horrible odds in order to have more quality time with her family. Her strength has been a source of hope and inspiration for all those who knew her. Vita was truly selfless, warm-hearted and a giving person, always putting the needs of others above her own. The impact she has had on the lives of all her family cannot be put into words, but she will unquestionably live on forever in our hearts and minds. She is missed immensely but we are beyond thankful we had her in our lives. May she now rest peacefully.
elevated xY91o Donations in her honour can be made Sunnybrook’s Odette Cancer Centre, who took excellent care of her; or Pancreatic Cancer Canada to fight this horrendous illness.
