Dear Muriel and family.
I remember Grant well going back to Thunder Bay CG days and decades later after we moved to Mississauga. I always enjoyed him as a partner and friend.
Thinking of you at this difficult time.
Lloyd Posno.
Dear Muriel and family
It’s been a long time since we communicated. I often tried to track Grant down but was never able to be sure I had the right person.
I was a new CA when Grant transferred to Thunder Bay on the merger of F.H.Black and Co and Clarkson Gordon in 1967. It was his job to bring the CG skills to the newly merger practice. I worked with him alot until i myself was transferred to Toronto office in 1972. After a 5 year stint in St. John’s , NFLD I returned to Thunder Bay in 1978 and again took up working with Grant as partners this time. I owe my whole career to Grant until he was transferred to Toronto office . Every time I had business in Toronto after that we would make sure we got together for a drink or lunch. The skills he learned working with smaller clients in Thunder Bay led to the creation of a new service in the Toronto/ Mississauga offices labeled— “ the BAG” service— Business Advisory Group. He led that Group until his retirement.
Please accept my condolences on his passing!!!! I know he will be greatly missed .
Grant was the epitome of professionalism – dedicated to his clients, staff and the community – always willing to balance the demands of work and home. He set an example that influenced many of us in our careers. God bless, Grant!
