Mrs. Yee Fin Lee passed away on Tuesday, December 30, 2025, peacefully at home.  She was born in Canton, China in 1930 and lived a fulfilling life for over 95 years as a dedicated wife, mother and grandmother.  She survived World War II, that cut short her medical training, but was able to raise three sons through unwavering commitments building a life in apartheid South Africa for more than 20 years.  She came to Canada with the family to Toronto, Canada in 1976 and ran a family restaurant providing educational opportunities for the three sons who all graduated from university.  She enjoyed her retirement years looking after the grandchildren, travelling with friends, and being with family.  Her sacrificial love to the family will always be remembered.  She is survived by her devoted husband Sung, her son Liesly and his wife Kim, grandchildren Ian, Meghan, Nathan, daughter-in-law Mary, and pre-deceased by sons, Canning and Ivan.

elevated D2ZYA Friends may visit at Holy Cross Catholic Funeral Home, 211 Langstaff Road East (Bayview and Langstaff) on Saturday, January 10, 2026 from 9:30 a.m. until 10:15 a.m.  Mass of Christian Burial to be celebrated in the Chapel of St. Joseph in the funeral home at 10:30 a.m.  Interment to be held in Holy Cross Catholic Cemetery.  Following the interment, a reception will be held at the funeral home from 12:00 p.m. – 2:00 p.m.
